I started the game on dvr at 9:45, so fast forward through breaks, stoppages, etc. i tried to listen to most of shattenkirk in the booth. I never heard them ask/say how he is doing and expectations for return.
Did I miss any info? Or did they avoid asking?
Re: Shattenkirk status...2nd per guest
2He said he was cleared by his doctor in Philadelphia yesterday (the one that performed his surgery) for full contact. Participated in full drills today. Sounds like he might be able to play Saturday.

3What Snepts said.
He was on with Kerbs and Chase and said he was cleared and that he is final say now on when he gets in. If I recall correctly he hopes to get in this coming home stand.

4he was talking about getting into the corners and really "manning up" against some guys to see how his body reacts.
i remember thinking, i sure hope he's still talking about hockey.
he strikes me as a guy that really has to think about what he's saying when he has a mic in front of him, as he probably talks like i do most of the fucking time.

6The offense we have been lacking will pick up when he returns.
Great news!
To me he makes this team a whole lot better!

7Love me some Shatty, and it will be a huge boost to get him back. I just hope they are a little "extra careful" with him.

10I watched the 1st live, then had to run an errand during intermission. So, I think it was Kerbs and Chaser that were discussing how much of a stud leader Shatty was on and OFF the ice, even during his rehab. They literally glowed on and on about him for a bit. Great to hear. I can't wait until #22 is back on the ice.
The Blues defense is absolutely SICK!
I just like to read the names and salivate.......Shatty, Bouwmeester, Pietrangelo, Michalek, Jackman, Bortuzzo, Lindbohm and the Butler.

12He was on the radio this morning and said he believes he'll be in the lineup Saturday night! Hope that is the case. If it is Bortuzzo better stay in the lineup is all I can say.

14With play of Linbohm and Bortuzzo, I could see Gunnar as one of the odd men out come playoff time.Battra wrote:I think we can all forget about the Gunnar....StL Dan wrote:Shoot....I forgot to add Gunnarsson! DaaAAaang!

16Honestly, I'm about 80% certain that Bort and Bomber have made him expendable and I don't expect to see him in September in STL.Blues14 wrote:With play of Linbohm and Bortuzzo, I could see Gunnar as one of the odd men out come playoff time.Battra wrote:I think we can all forget about the Gunnar....StL Dan wrote:Shoot....I forgot to add Gunnarsson! 17We could probably get a decent return for him. He'd make a helluva deal sweeter for a rebuilding team [*cough* Edmonton *cough*] looking at Bergy as an option at Center.Battra wrote:Honestly, I'm about 80% certain that Bort and Bomber have made him expendable and I don't expect to see him in September in STL.

I'd suspect a salary dump of the two....trade them off for draft picks to a team that has some room and needs an upgrade.
Buffalo as well.
Possibly even Arizona.
