Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
3Not a great turnout tonight!
The Blues haven't been this boring or looked this disinterested in a long time. This reminds me of the late 1970s. Nice to be ahead in a game for a change. But it probably would be better to lose a lot and get The # 6 or 7 position in The Lottery.

Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
4I knew that when Kyrou fanned on that unchallenged pass, sending it right to a Utah forward, that Utah would score before The Blues could get the
puck out of their Zone. And sure enough after another minute with the puck in The Blues' Zone, Utah scored the tying goal.

Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
5Great blind pass from Thomas behind the net, right to Kyrou right in front of the goal, and he pops it home for the lead goal!!!! Blues lead 2-1!!!!

Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
6The Blues always seem ton let down and relax just after they score a goal. Often it leads to a quick goal by the other team. This time it leads ton chasing the opponents' skaters around inside The Blues' Zone, and getting called for a penalty. So far no tyig goal, but St. Louisan, Keller, hits the post.
Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
7Now Joseph, reaching his stick for the puck, gets it under a Utah player, and gets called for a Blues'2nd consecutive penalty, just after The Blues did the hard work to kill off the 1st penalty. What bad luck.
Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
8Great positioning by Binnington to come way out and cut down the angle. And he makes a great save on the shot!
Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
9I HATE that the focus of the camera keeps going blurry, periodically. Lousy telecast.

10I'm listening to the game on the radio (over the internet). Are you sure it's the broadcast, and not your vision?Robb_K wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2025 8:23 pm I HATE that the focus of the camera keeps going blurry, periodically. Lousy telecast.
(I actually mean that a bit seriously, making sure you're not having a mini-stroke or something like that!)
Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
11Buchnevich, after a nice steal, finds himself all alone in front, but he fans on his shot with a chance to put the game away.
Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
12After missing the empty net 4 times, The Blues hang on, with Binnington making a few good saves and Utah hitting the post a few times. But, will we be sorry at the end of the season that we won this game? At least we ended the 4-game losing streak.
Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
13I can't remember a broadcast game that kept going in and out-of-focus - and it happened only on the right side of the rink, regardless of which team's end it was during the different periods.RAFritchey wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2025 8:27 pmI'm listening to the game on the radio (over the internet). I suppose the way this team has been playing this and last season COULD give an 80-year old man a stroke. But, if I could survive their bad play in The late 1970s, I guess I can wait for Dvorsky to be brought up.

Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
14We need Dvorsky and Snuggerud by the end of this season, then a 2nd line center and 2 top-4 defensemen over the Summer.

16I think Dvorsky will be that second line center.RAFritchey wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2025 9:13 pm We need Dvorsky and Snuggerud by the end of this season, then a 2nd line center and 2 top-4 defensemen over the Summer.
Re: GDT: Blues @ Utah - Right Now 2/2
17I think they'll probably start Dvorsky out as the 3rd Line centre, until they confirm that he's comfortable with NHL-level speed and hitting, and see how his defence translates. When they see he's comfortable, and playing effectively, they'll give him a try on the 2nd Line.BluesSK wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2025 10:19 pmI think Dvorsky will be that second line center.RAFritchey wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2025 9:13 pm We need Dvorsky and Snuggerud by the end of this season, then a 2nd line center and 2 top-4 defensemen over the Summer.
