Not sure what the exact plan is for him this year but dang is he an exciting prospect to have knocking on the door.
Depending on the return we could get, I could see the Blues trading Saad to a 'real' contender at the deadline and bringing up Dvorsky for the remainder of the season
This is what I've expected since the beginning of this season, and I hope it happens.

Yes. That too.
That's why I'm fearing the perunovich trade thought ...
Well this roster does include one LD that can play big minutes, has a low cap hit and would surely be willing to be traded to a contender to chase a Cup if they need to free up a spot...
I'm assuming you mean Suter, which is an option I hadn't thought about. He IS playing for his retiring year... And is doing superb.... Touchë

I don't understand it. We have to be sending a lot of salary back.

I guess we need to wait and see what the return could be.

I'm sorry but why is he acting like a 2nd round pick now carries no value? I don't care what year it's for, a 2nd rounder is a 2nd rounder. Especially for a player that Perunovich has UNQUESTIONABLY outplayed this year. I really fear they are going to pair him with Parayko and it's going to bring Parayko's play right back down to wear it was when he was forced to play with Leddy.

I keep trying to find positives or reason's to be hopeful about this move but just not seeing it.

Krug - 33 - 2 more years at 6.5
Parayko - 31 - 4 more years at 6.5
Faulk - 32 - 1 more year at 6.5
Fowler - 33 - 1 more year at 6.5
Leddy - 33 - 1 more year at 4.0

I just don't know what we are doing? That's a lot of money on a lot of old bad players who aren't suddenly going to improve.

Yeah, it's pretty clear Army is desperate to make the playoffs this year, I'm just not sure you can convince me Fowler gets us closer to that.

Anyway.

Ok, this is the only one that makes sense to me.

Kessel was getting dangerously close to not being able to pass thru waivers, due to amount of games played.

With leddy's setback, kessel would've played too many games, when leddy is back, to not clear waivers, and another team would've claimed him

This move, a desperate one, was made to keep kessel, in the long term.
