That is AMAZING

The Blues win it! Gutsy win! They made it hard for themselves with their Power Play failures, but gathered up their energy, especially to combat the Stars' onslaught during the last 5 minutes. Bannister is now 5-1 as head coach with The Blues. A far cry from how they were playing at the end of Berube's run with them. The Blues are moving up into playoff position. they could still use a new power play coach. But their penalty killing teams have been improving, nicely.

It's a LOT easier to enjoy this level of play than how they were playing before the change.
Nice to see Hofer, Perunovich, and Neighbours improving steadily, and playing so well. I can't wait to watch Snuggerud, Bolduc, Dean, Dvorsky, Stenberg, and Lindstein join them in playing
with The Blues on The NHL level.

No doubt about that. EVERY long-term coach's message goes stale, eventually. When a former winning team wins, and over the next few years ages out, and the team starts losing more, steadily, the players start losing faith, and get tired of hearing the same harping by their coach. So a change is needed. Berube is a very good coach. He just had the bad luck that his team aged out, and the best players were no longer living up to the salaries they'd expect on their next contract. So they had to be traded away, or let leave in free agency, and the team's salary cap couldn't accommodate adding players of equal skills. It's tough to remain a Cup challenger if your team never has a terrible season to get a super-high draft choice. The Blues have been forced to draft really well with most of their draft choices. All though they've drafted fairly well, they haven't done well enough to add enough top difference makers to stay on top steadily. Let's hope their current crop of prospects turn out significantly better than we've expected.

Saw the 3rd period. Thought the Blues looked good.

Not so much his message. Probably more him not being able to adjust & adapt himself.

Someone with a new vision is what you need sometimes.

But how long that works is anyone’s guess.

Remember how great Yeo was when he first took over? Blues went on a run, made playoffs , upset Wild in 1st round. But then boom, he was a bust and ultimately not the guy.

So who knows where this thing is going to go.

A lot of the same issues persist. The Blues are still giving up a massive amount of shots these last couple games, the goaltending is back to be elite like it was the first week of the season.
