Another long break for the Blues between their last game and this. Fitting timing as Paul Stastny has decided to retire yesterday. LETS PUT ON A GOOD SHOWING FOR THE NATIONAL AUDIENCE!
Some line shuffling for the Blues. Kap has apparently earned his way to the top line. Or maybe others earned their way down. Blais playing where he belongs, 4th line. Scandella now paired with Parayko.

2It will be fascinating to see how the lads respond after a few days off following a lousy showing. A win is always a tough ask on the road against the Avs, but there's zero excuse to not put forth a good effort tonight.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

3Vrana stuck with hayes...poor dude. He hasta use his speed to play off and def to make up for hayes lack of speed...dude looks like he's skating in mud ffs
Now now, the Canadian Government has apologized for Bryan Adams on SEVERAL occasions!

4Makar and Byram out for warm ups so looking like they are both going to give it a go.

7haha well he passed his first test on his first shot of the season denying Schenn at point blank. Good feed from Kyrou thoughBluesSK wrote: Wed Nov 01, 2023 8:33 pmProsvetov sounds like a drug for prostate issues.Dread_Pirate_Westley wrote: Wed Nov 01, 2023 8:24 pm Prosvetov in goal for the Avs for his first start. 9Well so much for that good start. Tucker has to be much better than that and Binner should be able to make that save.

10Blues PP fails to score
Blues PK fails to stop Colorado
New game, same story.
2-0 Colorado and the Blues challenged the goal for high stick and lost the challenge so Colorado immediately back on the PP. Got to kill this one off or it could get away early.

12A couple of nice hits by Blais on one shift. Maybe that’ll wake the team up. I’m sure Chief is going to chew into between periods.
I’m struggling the find joy in watching these games though. I need them to just give the Blues two weeks off

13One thing that stands out on this goal to me is how Parayko is just letting two guys screen Binner with zero effort to move them. He’s just there watching the puck.

14I want to like Tucker but I just don't know if he's got the hockey sense to overcome his lack of foot speed.

15Watching The Blues play against a deep team with lots of good young players, 2 of them being superstars and another, very, very good, with our two best players only "good" (with incomplete games, I can see that we're in for a hard year. We haven't had a super player since Pronger left. Tarasenko wasn't a complete player. It would be nice to get a superstar forward and have a #1 franchise defenceman at the same time, and also have a top 5 goaltender at the same time, and also have depth at forward and defence. And winning The Stanley cup another few times would be nice, too. Being strangled by several bad contracts is a pisser. I'm not thrilled with the way Army has been managing contracts and The Blues' Cap.
I'd like to, at least, watch The Blues' young players improve over the next few seasons. But, even Thomas is not improving as much as I thought he would. Also, despite my never having as high expectations for Kyrou as many Blues' fans had, he's improving much more slowly and at a much lower level than I expected. We'll have to hope the next crop of prospects surprises us some, and hope The Blues somehow institute a better calibre of scouting, coaching, and player development at all levels of the organisation. This season won't be as terrible as 2005-06, but it will likely be ugly.

16Nice dipsy doodle toe drag by Kyrou to go around his man! Too bad he didn't finish on that play.

17I hope they can score on The PP this time!

19Nice steal by a teammate, and great, quick one-timer by Blais! At least HE came to play (like he does every game0.
