Jets have given up at least 4 goals in four of their five games this year. Lets get the offense going.

This game will be fun for me, as my 2 favourite teams will be playing, and much of my extended family (from Winnipeg), will be watching. Most of them will be pulling for The Jets. But I'm more of a Blues fan because our long-time neighbour played for The Blues before Winnipeg had an NHL team. my 2 sisters are Jets fans because they are several years younger. both teams are retooling, and aren't likely to be better than Wild Card contenders, So, I don't have to worry about who wins.

Nice to see that Buchnevich will be back in the line-up.

Saad has a damn near open net but unfortunately shot it back into the goalie. Unlucky. Blues follow up taking a penalty.

Blues have the 32nd best PK in the League.

Saad had a great chance on that rebound, but it got slightly deflected by Hellebuyck's skate just grazing it. Now The jets get a power play.

Good job by The Blues killing off the penalty. They seem much better organised on The PK this season. If only they could also start clicking on The Power Player.

The Thomas-Kyrou-Saad Line is getting their chances.

The defense looks a lot more structured this season.

As I say that Winnipeg just misses a back door tap in.

Give credit to the Jets, they are playing a really tight checking game but the Blues are showing zero interest in generating offense. They are so focused on having 5 guys back in their own zone to defend. Rather boring period of hockey so far

Yes, and that improvement, alone will help our goaltending, and allow The Blues to be in the fight for the Wild Card spots.

Thomas made a great feed to Schenn on that 3 on 2! Too bad Schenn didn't score on it.

Blues have only led in a game once this season. It's not looking good for them making it twice tonight. Unsure why Schenn is where he is on the second one. Left the guy in the slot all by himself to stand next to the goalie.

I believe in their new system the C is supposed to take the net front whenever a D goes behind the net. Having said that, seems as though you could make an exception for the wide open guy 10 feet from the net front in this case.

Kyrou stopped on two breakaways and slow follow ups from his linemates.

Kyrou with 2 breakaways (second one partial), both saved. Watching the first one, it looked like he might've had room 5 hole, but tried to go to stick side. Second time he tried 5 hole, but there was no room. Hockey.

Wow.

Neighbours took a hard hit behind the net. PP again. Hopefully no 2-0 breakaways given up on this one.

I get what you're saying, but how this play played out, him and Scandella ended up standing on top of each other covering no one with the guy wide open in the slot. New system, growing pains, I guess.

The Blues aren't going to win many games if they can't get their Power Play organised better. They've got the skilled players to make it work.
