Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
2The Devils have been great this year, but have rivaled the Blues in terms of streakiness this year. The fans were chanting to have their coach fired 2 games into the season, then proceeded to win 19 of their next 22 games. Later, they had a 6 game losing streak during their current 3-9 run. Lots of talent. Removing expectations and looking forward to a fun watch.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
3Kyrou is a double edge sword, he's the reason we're not really in the running for Bedard, and he's also the reason we're not in the running for Bedard. If you know what I mean.
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
4This is good for my fantasy team
Just a Russian propaganda account
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
5Barbashev takes the feed from Saad, skates towards the middle of the ice, finds a screen ands blasts the puck into the net, tying it up at 2!!!!
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
7The Blues draw a penalty, and will have most of a power play on the fresh ice at the beginning of the next period, IF they don't score right now!
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
8The Blues have been outplayed most of this game, but, luckily, they are tied on the scoreboard, where it counts. They always play sloppily in their own end, but with O'Reilly AND Tarasenko both out, they can only ice ONE dependable scoring line, and that really hurts their scoring ability, and ability to keep the puck in the opponents' zone for extended periods, And THAT, in turn, leads to a lot more time in their own zone, where bad things can happen. When both O'Reilly and Tarasenko are traded approaching the trade deadline, the team's offence will really dry up (assuming much of the returns will be in the form of high draft choices, and maybe a couple prospects not near being NHL-ready. But, it is the best thing for The Blues to do, so I'm for it.
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
9Lousy lax execution by The Blues on that power play. But Saad scores on their next trip up the ice! Nice move by Saad around the defenders to get the clear shot!!! Blues lead 3-2!!!
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
11Is it me... or has there been no... "High Hoisters" this season???
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
14Thomas blasts Schenn's quick pass into the net!!!! Blues lead 4-2!!!!
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
15But now, The Blues take another penalty, and will go back on the PK. They play poorly so often right after scoring. That's something they've got to clean up.
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
16That was a VERY questionable call on Faulk to put The blues down by two men. But, at least Bortuzzo makes a great block and The Blues get a clear. But, unfortunately The Blues give up the goal, anyway before the first penalty expired. So There is still a minute left of penalty to kill.
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
17Great short-handed chance by Saad, on great hustle to the loose puck and a great move to get by the defenceman. Too bad he didn't score.
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
20Thomas scores the empty-netter with only 42 seconds left, after several fantastic saves by Binnington!!! Blues lead 5-3!!!!
Blues win another great road game!!!
Blues win another great road game!!!
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
22Saad has really upped his game when The Blues need it most, with both O'Reilly and Tarasenko out. He is a 2-way player who has been sorely underrated most of his career. He had a great game, and so did Binnington.
Re: GDT: Blues at Devils 6:00 1/5
24I get the impression Binner thrives even more in an underdog role. He could carry this team.
