Not good at all. But, when I looked at it, my first thought based on the player's reaction, he initially thought that was another player and not the ref. No idea if that's what really happened, but that was my initial thought the first time I watched it. Not that it makes it any better even if that is what happened.

If that is intentional then 10 games seems wildly light. Widemen got 20 iirc.

My thought was he meant to do it but not that hard and when he saw the ref flying he had an oh no moment.

It's the AHL so he's only half a ref, ergo 10 games instead of 20.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

To me, I want a Wild win. But, no matter who wins, I really hope it's in regulation. Don't need both teams getting points tonight.

That half-rate ref was in the way of the player...he shoulda been hugging the boards like refs typically do and not been on the way.

The player is at fault for finishing a check against someone in his way, but he did the discount double take and realized that wasnt an opponent but an ill-placed ref

Sucks for the ref for being ignorant of the situation and sucks for the player for being trained to play that way.

Such is hockey and a suspension is not fitting imho.
Now now, the Canadian Government has apologized for Bryan Adams on SEVERAL occasions!

Just following up on this that the judge has upheld the charges and this defense did not hold much water.

SALEM, N.J. -- The family of NHL hockey player Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew listened in pain Tuesday as lawyers debated whether the men's own drinking contributed to their deaths when they were hit by an allegedly drunken and enraged driver as they cycled at night.

After nearly two hours of argument, a judge agreed the issue was moot under New Jersey criminal law -- upholding all of the charges against the driver, including manslaughter and vehicular homicide.

"There's no credence in the argument there was contributory negligence on the part of the cyclists," Superior Court Judge Michael Silvanio said.

According to the defense, the Gaudreaus had blood alcohol levels of .129 or above, higher than the .08 legal limit in New Jersey and the .087 blood alcohol content that police recorded for Sean Higgins. His lawyers had hoped to have the manslaughter and vehicular homicide charges reduced or dismissed.

"To say that their BACs may have contributed to the cause of death is a reach to say the least," assistant prosecutor Michael Mestern argued.

Im glad the judge had the integrity to realize the weight of the ruling.

I cant imagine the families sitting through the lawyer speak and think this guy killed brothers/sons/fathers/husbands/uncles and may get a slap on the wrist.

That poor family has suffered enough from this tragedy.

Do they even have anything in the pipeline right now? How many picks have they had the past few years? Couldn't be many.

They've got some good young forwards. The thing the Blues benefitted from was having Kyrou and Thomas entering their prime so you're not relying on Bolduc, Neighbours etc to be your top guys.

Bruins also have 9 picks in the first two rounds of the next 3 drafts which will help them. Whether that's drafting guys or using to acquire talent.

Maybe the problem isn't them, Jacobs. It's you.

We have an ownership group who lets the people who know what they're doing do it.

The people have a right to be frustrated when you have thin skinned owners trying to Jerry Jones it.

I can't say I'm disappointed to see it.

Montreal would've been such a feel good story if their success didn't mean the snuffing out of one of the biggest feel good stories in ages. Great run from CBJ.
