The Canucks drama has been wild the last couple months. Their two best (and highest paid) forwards, Elias Pettersson and JT Miller are not getting along and apparently it's bad enough that Vancouver is looking at dealing one or both of them:

There's no real match with the Blues as far as I can see, but that's such a ridiculous situation. They've probably both been at fault, but if you're looking for a path to the playoffs for the Blues, it'll be because a team currently holding a playoff spot struggles the second half of the year. The Canucks are currently in the second wildcard spot....
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

Is it a problem of there being only one puck, or has someone been dipping his line in someone else’s pond?

It's either give out suspensions that are fair and equal or go back to old time hockey. Either way is fine with me but the players and NHL need to pick a lane instead of picking and choosing arbitrary punishments based on who the player is or what team they are on.

Obviously, Canada believes that no one is above the law.. if it happened on the south side of the border, they may have given him immunity,

I don't understand the problem. McDavid crosschecked a guy in the head...DOPS gave a reasonable punishment...teammate whines. I don't think there's anything to see here really.

Dreams really do come true!!

But no, we probably should've breathlessly debated this one before the suspension. I'll throw some fodder...the real villains were the refs, who created the whole mess by not calling a penalty on Garland in the 20 seconds he was mauling McDavid before he snapped and cross-checked him.

I love it.

Carolina going for the Cup hard.
It feels low for Colorado. Then there’s Chicago who is just in the cuck chair so they can be in the room but not really involved in the fun
To me, it's basically Rantanen for Necas. Necas is gonna be a star in the League but he really didn't want to remain in Carolina.

I'd be pretty excited if I'm a Colorado fan. They get a 2nd round pick too.

If I'm a Chicago fan I'd be kinda confused after those moves.

Taylor Hall hasn't been great this year. I believe he was a healthy scratch a while back and just hasn't really worked with Bedard. Don't know if it's an age thing, a chemistry thing, locker room thing or what, but it hasn't gone to plan.

Carolina getting Hall is a good move for a Cup contender. He can play down the lineup and add some depth in case there are injuries. Veteran guys like that are always needed on Cup runs.
