Don’t take that victory lap yet. Long history of teams starting slow, firing their coach and going on to success.
This doesn't seem accurate. Name one team, I dare you! Haha

I can see this being Detroit's opportunity to do the same thing. They need a jolt and Monty might fit the bill.
KA-KAW!

Clown ass rankings. They have Maple Leafs Easton Cowan who is STILL in the OHL not putting up numbers as a 19 year old that Dvorsky did as an 18 as an A prospect but Dvorsky as a B? Yeah fun to read but I’m putting zero stock into the actual rankings.
Just a Russian propaganda account

Now hang on just a sec. Are you implying that the Canadian national media might have overinflated Maple Leafs prospects?!?!?! Huge, if true.

In my eyes, unless you have some bigtime blue chippers, its just a volume game. The Blues are sure to have some nice long term pieces from their pool.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

Back to Monty watch. I think my ideal scenario is you ride out the season with Bannister and hire Montgomery in the offseason. This season is a wash and I'd prefer the coach have a fresh start. This assumes Monty is ok riding out the rest of the season collecting paychecks without coaching. The big risk is also that you get outbid in the offseason when there will surely be more openings. Regardless of how realistic it is, that's the best case scenario in my book.

I'd move Bannister to Springfield and bring Montgomery in now.

I don't want him ruining our draft odds at this point.

I'm so glad I used my first pick in my fantasy hockey league on Bedard. On a related note, I'm still last in the league.
I was able to pick up BOTH Bedard and Adam Fantilli in my draft this year. At least I'm in a keeper league, so they're probably worth hanging on to for several years at least.
