I am not happy at all with the return we got for Shatty, and I wonder if Army would of waited a day or two longer, closer to the deadline, if the Pens or Caps would of been willing to give a little more. Army had walk away power in the negotiations. It works for me every time I buy a car. It just seems like the return we got is pretty poor for two teams bidding for Shatty.

I don't think it's so much as the return for Copley as it is he was supposed to be the future asset in the Oshie trade to go along with the rental of Brouwer and now there's nothing to show for TJ Oshie.

Remember game seven of round one last year? I have to agree with whoever brought it up earlier (think it was Bradley) that it seems like we're always looking to the future here and what can get us to the cup we've chased for half a century. You have to appreciate what players who've come and gone have done for us though, even if it hasn't gotten us as far as we've wanted.

As far as Sanford is concerned, Hockey Pete over at the asylum just posted some good comments from a friend that were pretty encouraging. Pete was a former scout or knows a lot of scouts......don't remember exactly, but usually has some very good information to share.
