They don't have the depth of franchise history, but Sens fans are tortured in their own right. I'm indifferent towards that series. I like Berube, but I also like Brady Tkachuk. I hope both teams have fun!
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

That’s how I felt about the Cubs!!

Come to think of it, I miss the Babe Ruth curse on the Red Sox too.

Now on the Leafs I’m rooting for them. I’ve always liked the Leafs. Berube in the mix just adds to it.

Hard to believe the Matthews/Marner regime has won just 1 playoff series in 8 years. So Berube has his work cut out for him.

This is so funny, they've had about 392 coaches since 1986:

At this point I don't care if the Leafs win or lose but damn do I enjoy the show on and off the ice. I'm confident they'll take care of Ottawa, but things get very interesting in round 2 against one of the Florida teams.

Yeah, their chances would increase if they'd play Tampa IMO. I thought maybe Tampa would have a shot this go around against Florida but they got whipped last night.

I remember that 86 Leafs team. Best 57 point team in NHL history - ha. They were a 4th place team and they swept the Hawks in the 1st round and the Blues beat them in the Division Finals 2-1 in Game 7. John Brophy was the Leafs coach and for a shitty team, they were a bad ass team. Wendell Clark was a rookie that year and some guys named Rick Vaive & Steve Thomas were terrors coming down that wing. That was a magical year for the Blues when they made the Final 4. Even though they didn't win the Cup, that still might be my most favorite Blues team ever.

I am watching that game on Max. Holy shit. I can see some ejections and/or suspensions coming out of that. I really wish someone would take a skate blade to Wilson's throat. He is one of the dirtiest players in the last 20 years. And he is one of the very few players that, if he were seriously hurt, it would not bother me at all, based on all he's done in his career with his cheap hits.

That was great, Wilson is so good at being a heel.

We haven't talked enough about the other series so far. Only one 3-0 series to this point, though the Panthers could make it 2 this afternoon. The Wild have snagged a 2-1 lead over Vegas, the Kings are have a 2-1 lead over the Oilers. 4th time is a charm? Dallas is up 2-1 over Colorado despite only having a lead for about 90 seconds of game time.

The Blues-Jets series has been the most physical, but the others are heating up.

Saying wilson is a cheap shot artist is like saying crosby is a diver.

They've both matured their game.
Now now, the Canadian Government has apologized for Bryan Adams on SEVERAL occasions!

Fair enough, we'll agree to disagree.

Edit: but more importantly, lets go blues!

Depending on your definition of it maybe Maroon? Nathan Walker isn’t far behind it though.

Although few got under the skin like Nash.
I thought Perron played the pest role in the 2019 playoffs fairly well along with Maroon.

I have loved Walker's game so far this series. Hitting everyone that moves as well as throwing his body in front of shots time and again.

lol forgot about how hated Perron is. Just a different type of player so don't really put him in that class but yeah, fans hate him. Binner is a guy fans around the league absolutely hate too and if he were on a different team I'd find him annoying too. Although he has toned down a bit of randomly trying to fight entire teams.

Never much liked Ott til he was on the Blues. Not sure if it was because he was a pest or just never payed much attention to him when the Blues played whoever he was with.

At some point, I bet he gets a head coaching job in the next few years. I don't want to lose him, but can't keep him from it if he wants to be a head coach.
