Classic last day of school before spring break game. Still, losing at home to a team that is lighting itself on fire is pretty rough.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

Well, San Jose, the OTHER worst team in the league, beat Seattle, too, so we stay ahead of them.

At least San Jose is sucking on purpose. CBJ thought they were going to be competitive this year. Woof. John Davidson is basically Lyle Lanley without the catchy song and dance.

When your shiny new Stanley-cup winning coach gets fired in a scandal before the season even starts, you're probably going to have a rough season ahead of you. Now Laine is in the players assistance program after a dismal performance so far in the season (along with the ubiquitous injuries) and Johnny Gaudreau hasn't lived up to the expectations of his big contract.

They've got some great looking 25-and-under players (including Laine), though, if they develop them right. IF.

The Babcock hiring was a major self-inflicted wound. JD has always struck me as someone at least as concerned with being in the headlines as he was concerned with winning hockey games.
