Yeah, I wish Berube had called a time out. The D was too loose. I had a bad feeling about this game. I don’t know why the Blues tend to lose to these guys but they do.

This is the first time I can remember The Blues keeping the puck inside The O-Zone for the whole last 2 minutes, but they spent too much time passing the puck around without shooting and without having teammates driving towards the net at the same time. That is especially important when the team has two of its best shooters out of the lineup.

Any un-partial zebra would have stretched to call that high sticking penalty at all… those assholes wanted to call it a 5… to save face they reduced it to a double minor. I'm not sure if they understand the definition of defense. Maybe a short class on hockey terminology would help.

There were only 2 defensemen in the lineup last night that were 100% expected to be everyday players for this team. Bortuzzo was out early and Mikkola was a bubble guy for the top 6. The defensive lapses should be no surprise. It's not in the cards this year, they just don't have the horses. My perspective the rest of the year is just to hope the young guys develop and to hopefully see some cool goals from the top end guys. Better luck next year.

Dave made a good point about the D. Those guys need to gel fast. When the Blues play the other teams style, their chances of winning drop considerably.
