Glad to see Kostin staying up on that top line. He's earned the promotion.

We've got one of our younger guys on each of those four lines, and they've all been doing pretty well so far. I like the way they're integrating into the team as a whole!

Sounds like Doughty is still out for LA. Let's take advantage of that!

Damn the Blues are a much faster team. They skate fast and play fast. I can’t remember the last time they were this quick overall.

Kings Walker down with what looks to be a pretty bad leg injury. Perron fell on it bending it in an abnormal way

Blues were the far better team in the first. They had 18 shots but couldn’t beat Quick. This is giving me PTSD

The Blues looked good early, but just couldn't convert. But, they looked sluggish during the second half of the period. Could it be that after handling The Kings so easily in Saturday's game that they subconsciously just phoned this period in (are taking The Kings too lightly)? They'd better come out ready to play in The 2nd. We need them to stay hot for the entire early part of the season, to have a better chance of keeping ahead of Colorado, and finishing with the best playoff seeding possible - but also to look like a World-beater, so Tarasenko will forget about wanting to leave, and play his very best. Nice to see Husso with a little calmness and poise. At least he didn't make any gross errors and let in any cheapies.

Really like the pressure Blues put on after they turn the puck over. That seems to be a notable change that I imagine the coaching staff had to bring up this year, because they weren't near as aggressive last year on those types of plays.

Not much to say about this game right now. Both goalies playing great

The Blues have had the puck deep in The Kings' Zone a LOT of time in this game to have NO goals to show for it, with almost 2 periods gone. They've got a much better lineup than The Kings (without Doughty and with 3 regular defencemen hurt). This should not be happening.

Great defensive play by Faulk to break up that 2 on 1!!!

The Blues really need to take advantage of that next period with short shifts and lots of hard skating, and more hitting when without the puck.
