for Logan Brown.

3Brown has looked like nothing more than a fringe NHLer. Sanford is a lightning rod but has at least produced. Seems like a move to free up salary and take a shot on a local kid.

4I thought it was funny that Pierre McGuire’s team traded for Sanford

5Freeing up cap space for their BIG announcement at 5, that they're flipping Thomas and Tarasenko to Buffalo for Jack Eichel!
Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
6Yeah, PM likes Sandford. Called him the next great power forward.Dread_Pirate_Westley wrote: Sat Sep 25, 2021 2:24 pmI thought it was funny that Pierre McGuire’s team traded for Sanford
Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
7Even if Brown is a bust, still a win trade. Blues have to make room for Kostin. It’s his time now and I want to see him play full time.
Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
8I think this is likely better news for Neal or Frolik more so than Kostin. Frolik is a natural replacement for Sanford on the PK

Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
9...and people said that the Blues would never get a first rounder for him.
Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
10Sanford was so frsutrating. When he was motivated, he looked like Phil Esposito around the net. When he wasnt, he might as well have stayed on the bench.
Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
11Not sure I like the return but at least Berube can't play Sanford with O'Reilly and Perron anymore... Or can he?
Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
12He hammered the final nail in Boston's coffin when the Blues won their only Stanley Cup... for that I'll be eternally grateful... Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
14There had to be more with Sanford than on ice performance...the one things fans forget is that the coaches see these guys all day every day.
Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
15Cap dump. Hopefully this means Sundqvist won't be out too long. Sanford was an inconsistent top 9 guy. Brown is a bust, so I'm sure we'll end up getting that conditional pick. It'll be interesting to see whether or not this leads to anything else. I'm not expecting any big trades before the season starts, but you never know with Doug Armstrong.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!
Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
16If Neal makes team, name wise, the forward group is robust. Just sayin................
Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
17Neal has looked lousy for the last 2 seasons, and in tonight's game, he's playing worse than my Grandmother would, and she's been dead for 30 years.BillP. wrote: Mon Sep 27, 2021 9:07 am If Neal makes team, name wise, the forward group is robust. Just sayin................
I think he's through, other than maybe 1 year in The Swiss or German leagues.
Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
18I already forgot about this trade. Proves something about Sanford, Brown, and most of all, myself.

Re: Blues Trade Sanford to Ottawa
19Army wouldn't send him to Montreal, because he didn't want to have to roux the day he traded him.
