That’s pretty shitty. If they’re going to have the covid protocols they should provide some wiggle room on call ups.
He is killing it in Springfield. Blues need to get him up for good.

I'm excited to have him with the team, however, I dont know that anyone has really played themselves out of a roster spot. Ive been so impressed with Walman.

He has performance bonuses built into his contract that will create more cap troubles if they bring him up right now.

It sucks, but they've known the rules for some time. Other teams have had to go with short benches for the same reason this year. At least we have 12 and 6. I don't trust that teams wouldn't screw with tests and abuse the loophole for cap shenanigans. Just one of the risks in being a team close to the cap this year.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

Apparently everyone in the organization hates him. Supposedly there wasn't a big specific incident that led to this, just people reporting borderline abusive behavior in large volume after the NHL sent a memo requiring teams to report such behavior in the wake of the Hawks scandal. I have no idea how he's kept his job for so long given that the Ducks have been directionless for years and only recently started to rebuild.

Half of every workforce would be fired if being an asshole is grounds for dismissal.

People are getting carried away with this over sensitivity.

Everybody has to be an asshole sometime. Nothing would get done if not. Being an asshole to one person is just being intense to another.

The following statements are true about Bob Murray:
-His teams have finished lower in the League standings each year since 2013-14.
-He threw a chair in a press box that hit and injured a woman years ago.
-He is apparently known throughout the league as an asshole.

What's wrong with firing this guy?

Nothing. All that matters is results.

But he was an asshole when they won the Cup too and it wasn't a problem then.

I would hope places have learned that verbally abusing your employees and harassing them as he's accused of is NOT the way to motivate your employees to get things done.

Of course, you have those bosses and business that do treat their employees like shit and then cry when they can't find workers to work.

Beating up a coworker is cool though if it wins you the Cup.

Scandals usually drop when everyone is crying. Not when they are winning. Even the "good" guys turn a blind eye when the good times were happening.

There's a huge difference between being an "asshole" in the workplace and being a criminal sexual predator.

Of course there's a difference. Bob Murray is apparently only guilty of being a prick, which is not illegal, but there's also nothing wrong with the Ducks telling everyone the reason why he's being shelfed at the moment is because they have to make sure he didn't do anything worse than being a huge prick. Without getting too self-righteous, my point was that things do matter beyond results. The Hawks are a prime example of that.

Agreed. Every team is going to be on high alert for accusations of misconduct right now. And rightfully so.
