Re: Hitch is back

Which of this team's issues can be attributed to assistant coaches? I'm not being combative... honest inquiry. Well, I certainly don't like the defensive schemes this team draws up and the constant backing in of the defense is infuriating. That's on Shaw as has been mentioned. I have no idea what R...

Re: Exit Interviews

I've always wondered if Hitch and all the assistant coaches are all on the same page...and if he's maybe getting mixed signals between Hitch, Muller, Bennett, Shaw, Brett Hull (not a coach, but more than likely has influence). We all know Hitch wants tight defense first, but maybe someone else is te...

Re: Hitch is back

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 5m5 minutes ago Ken Hitchcock's last rodeo? Don't be surprised if Hitch says next season and his new 1-year contract will be his last as head coach in NHL. I believe there is a press conference at 10. If he does announce this, it will be interesting to see how the team...

Per JR. Well the last one year deal worked out ok.
Shit

Re: Exit Interviews

Petros minutes are insane, no wonder he was slow and indecisive against SJ. So apparently if you swap goalies, that in some way will give your best d man new life. Series loss fully on Hitchcock, this team needs an enema in coaching staff. All Hitch needed was a red nose with the douche bag DeBoer ...

Re: Exit Interviews

It makes no sense to have him on this team if the plan is to play for the zero, and get your goals by accident. He's not a defensive specialist, he's a goal scoring specialist. If Hitch is going to remain on here as head coach, then they should trade him for some more grinders that fit the notion of...

Re: Exit Interviews

Players met with media today on "Locker Cleanout day", everybody addressed what you'd expect, Backes and Brouwer on their contracts, Shatty on trade rumors, and Tarasenko on..nothing. He was the only player to decline interview. He's scaring me a bit... http://m.stltoday.com/sports/hockey...

Re: Crying Backes

The Illinois Pork Producers Association members are crying after that last game loss. That reminds me: I was driving through Springfield last month on I-55, and there was a sign out front of the IL Pork Producers Assoc. offices that read: "Pork. The One You Love." Almost made me cry. :lol...

Re: Now what?

I guess it all depends on if Pittsburg deserves more penalties, based on their past performance. Malkin cries more than crysby who cries more than the sharks team total. The sharks could win in 5 but I believe the league will drag it to 6. deBoer cries more. If the NHL issued a directive to the coa...

Re: Grade em

It's always hard for me to do this, without knowing what each guys instructions and assignments were. A forward can screw up and all of a sudden the nearest d-man gets blamed for something that wasn't his fault to begin with...and vice versa. We also aren't hep to the real injury situation with the ...

Re: Now what?

On another note though, does Shattenkirk this year feel like Oshie last year to anyone else? Like, I just know they're going to move him, only question is to who, when, and what the return will be. I'll go on record again, and say that I don't want to move him. Trade Jaybo instead...and no Jaybo is...

...and if things aren't depressing enough, Roman Polak and Ian Cole will be playing for Lord Stanley's Cup....(shakes head in total disgust) Can you imagine what Larueskee must be saying over at the asylum? "See! Ian Cole is the greatest hockey player ever, he took the Penguins to the Cup Fina...

Now...the Sharks are their fans are going to get see what it feels like when the refs and NBC turn their back on you. I guess it all depends on if Pittsburg deserves more penalties, based on their past performance. Malkin cries more than crysby who cries more than the sharks team total. The sharks ...

Re: Now what?

I think the team defense was bad largely because of Bouwmeester and Shattenkirk. You can carry a defensively weak guy like Shatty for his offense as long as you have great shut-down guys everywhere else, which is what Bouwmeester was supposed to be. Parayko and Edmundson played well, especially for...

Re: Now what?

If Hitch goes who wants Kirk Mueller to take over as head coach? I think its the natural transition He may be that guy, IDK but I'd prefer a Scott Stevens type of guy myself....gotta face facts, Moose stole these playoffs...the team defense is terrible, without Moose standing on his head, these guy...

Re: Now what?

I hope that the coaching situation is resolved before any player personnel issues are addressed. Please, no long drawn-out process of picking the next coach. If it's Hitch, make him decide soon...if it's not Hitch move on, and soon. Let the next coach participate in the personnel decisions. Some of ...
