Re: Blues 2024 Offseason Thread:

Fun article from LeBrun on the Blues offer sheets with comments from Army and Bowman. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5747775/2024/09/09/blues-gm-doug-armstrong-offer-sheets/ “It happens rarely because the moons rarely align for organizations,” Armstrong said. But once interim Oilers CEO of Hockey ...

Re: Blues 2024 Offseason Thread:

Bummer for Krug. Now we see how the left side shakes out. Leddy, Broberg, Perunovich, Suter, PO Joseph are the left shot D in contention for playing time. Do they move one or both of Broberg/Perunovich to right? I think we all hope that's not the case, but there are 5 names there and only 3 RHD at ...

Re: Prospects Thread

I think he does a pretty good job overall and always enjoy his reads. Think he is just a bit harsh on some Blues prospects but he may end up being right. I don't think we have a prospect the caliber of Robert Thomas or Vlad in our pool so I agree right now it doesn't look like we have any elite guys...

Well he's employed by the Athletic to be a prospect analyst if that is what you mean?

I don’t get that comparison even a little bit but if he has a thousand point career that’s pretty dang wow factor.

Re: Prospects Thread

Just finished reading that. I think he probably gives a great deal of weight to skating, and some of the Blues high end prospects aren't high end skaters (DD, Snuggerud). I was surprised to see Lindstein rated 8th, thought he'd be higher. Overall I think 16 is reasonable for a group that doesn't ha...

Re: Prospects Thread

Pronman Pipeline has been posted. He has the Blues ranked 16th. He's got a few surprises for me. Snuggerud doesn't pop up til #3. He has Holloway rated higher than Neighbours?? Jiricek is number 1. He's clearly lower on the Blues prospect than a lot of others and the fanbase. I think the article is ...

Re: Blues 2024 Offseason Thread:

Larry is a them? I thought that my English is fairly good (at least when I can remember the words). The "them" refers to The Blues' front office. How do you get "Larry is a them " from "Or has his association with them ended?" ? Or am I missing some kind of clever joke...

Re: Blues 2024 Offseason Thread:

Is Larry Robinson still called in during training to work with The Blues' defencemen? Or has his association with them ended? I don't remember reading about him or seeing his name bandied about for the last few years. He did such a good job at that some years ago. I'd like to have him work with The...

Re: News and Games around the NHL

What a weird little career he's had. https://twitter.com/Canucks/status/1826661967253369256 He's got his name on the Cup and a ring. I'd say that's been a pretty good gig for him. Didn't say it was a bad one, just a weird one. Went from being a key piece in the Blues playoff run, to the centerpiece...

Re: Blues 2024 Offseason Thread:

Krug, Faulk, and Leddy all have their NTCs drop down to 'list 15 teams' restrictions next Summer (along with Saad and Schenn). I'm pretty sure at least one of them will be traded shortly after that. I think Krug is gone after next Summer regardless, even if Perunovich doesn't pan out. He may get a ...

Re: Blues 2024 Offseason Thread:

If the Blues got playoff Broberg than this is an absolute steal. He's not going to be payback for Pronger, but he fills something this team legit had zero of. A ready made, young, LHD to plug into the top 4. If he continues to get the 115 PDO he got in the playoffs just give him the Norris now. I a...
