Re: GDT: Wild at Blues 4/11/15 2PM CT - GAME 82
51I hope that they have plenty of extra pucks on hand..... there's an awful lot of knifing of the puck today
Totally agree - most of the season, Jori's been "just a split-second" too slow on many of the goal-scoring plays. I mean, how many times this year did we all go "Doh!" on so many of his plays in front of the net.StL Dan wrote:Ya definitely. I thought he hit a wall for about 25 games or so before but he's rejuvenated now.DJ Axeom wrote:Totally agree - most of the season, Jori's been "just a split-second" too slow on many of the goal-scoring plays. I at first chalked it up to playing his whole life in EUR, but lately I began to worry if he'd ever be able to adjust to NHL speed.
It's awesome that he's lately showing that he's getting there. If he can exceed his KHL All Star form and become that true #2 C scoring threat right as the POs start... look out!
That's probably more fair than my assessment. Good point.BluesSK wrote:I thought he hit a wall for about 25 games or so before but he's rejuvenated now.DJ Axeom wrote:Totally agree - most of the season, Jori's been "just a split-second" too slow on many of the goal-scoring plays. Esp if we're playing MIN in the 1st round...BluesSK wrote:Very nice to end the regular season on a high note.
I'm pretty optimistic now.
Same for me. I think he's back to his early season speed, and should be playing that way in the playoffs.BluesSK wrote:I thought he hit a wall for about 25 games or so before but he's rejuvenated now.StL Dan wrote:Totally agree - most of the season, Jori's been "just a split-second" too slow on many of the goal-scoring plays. Yeah, he made some good ones and that one was amazing. Not a fan of how he stared down Bort though.. Those guys knock down a bunch of shots successfully. You don't piss and moan when they screw one up.DJ Axeom wrote:Hell of a save by Els there... with the paddle, mid-air... NICE.
Maybe Bort called him sieveMan in the box wrote:Yeah, he made some good ones and that one was amazing. Not a fan of how he stared down Bort though..
