This is such an inspiring lineup. That Saad contract is starting to look like a real bust too. Three more years of that.

Berube needs to play these younger developing players where they belong in the lineup and not on the fourth line or in the press box.

Kyrou has got to start finishing off these chances, but damn what speed he has. Skated right by the defender to get in on goal alone. Earns the Blues a PP opportunity.

He has since gone down the tunnel. Hope it's nothing serious, hate to see these kind of falls into the boards. Absolutely embarrassed Faulk on the play though, not sure why he was going so far out wide towards the boards. Piss poor positioning.

Want a crazy stat for this game? The Blues as we know have scored just 1 power play goal on the year. The Devils have 17!

You could really tell how relieved he was to put his first in.

Blues outshooting, out hitting, and so far outscoring the Devils. They've played well and the Devils are starting to look like a team on the 2nd half of back to back games on the road who also lost their best player in the 1st period.

Where was Buchnevich sending that pass???? At least they evened out his slight hooking call with an embellishment call. Maybe with the more room on the ice on the 4 on 4, The Blues can sneak in a goal to give them some breathing room.

Nice save by Binnington! And Hayes gets off another good shot. He's looked halfway decent this game, with a goal from holding his spot right in front and popping in the rebound. I still think, deep down, that he was a wasted signing, if he's only going to show up periodically. But maybe he's saving his strength for the playoff push which will never come?

I'm amazed how The Blues have hung on and continued to play hard and disciplined even after The Devils seemed to come out of their lethargy with some energy to try and pull out this game.

Hayes leads another 2 on 1! Where has this energy from him been all season before this?

Binnington made a nice save on that last Devils' flurry.

Lousy pass by Hayes with The Devils' net open. But he makes up for it with an uncontested empty-netter on the next time up ice! Blues lead by 2. Hayes with his 2nd of the night!

Thomas gets the 2nd empty-netter after Hayes missed 3 in a row trying to get the hat trick. But The Blues win 4-1, on a great game by Binnington, and tough clutch game by all the skaters.

Good things happen when you take out the other teams best player.

Good effort tonight. A lot of guys helped themselves getting out of the doghouse
