Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
152LOL
TSN said the rumor was 7 x $12. Were they ever off.
They said Calgary made the same offer.
What a kick in the teeth to New Jersey and Calgary though.

156Did Johnny Gaudreau just take less money to play on a team who's best center is Jack Roslovic?

157A lot less. Not sure how it works out tax-wise but he left a lot of money on the table.Dave's a mess wrote: Wed Jul 13, 2022 9:36 pm Did Johnny Gaudreau just take less money to play on a team who's best center is Jack Roslovic?

159That is a big surprise but I’m so happy for Columbus. I hope they win over there. Congrats to Jarmo for pulling that off. Isn’t JD back over there? He’s a great talker. I bet he sold it.

161Eklund suggesting Kadri back to Colorado…..which means he will end up anywhere but there. Not sure how they would pull that off, but I wouldn’t mind if they gave him a big, long-term deal.

162Capfriendly has them at 3.9 million in cap space so that would be impressive.Matangama wrote: Thu Jul 14, 2022 11:59 am Eklund suggesting Kadri back to Colorado…..which means he will end up anywhere but there. Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
164After a VERY quick look at each of those team's roster/cap, I do think Kyrou is probably the best trade chip that seems to actually be available. I don't see how Vegas could make it work at all. Nashville and Dallas don't have anything like a Kyrou available (as far as I know). Florida just traded a way a bunch of high draft picks, so I'm not sure they're going to be able to meet the price. Calgary is allegedly looking for a good current roster players rather than pure futures, but they'll defeinitely want at least a first round pick out of this. I really think the price ends up being lower (or at least more palatable) than expected, or some team comes out of nowhere. One source familiar with Tkachuk’s list said that St. Louis, Vegas, Florida, Nashville and Dallas are options. New Jersey and the New York Rangers are also among the other teams that have expressed interest in the past.

Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
165Maybe Army is forced to pay up if there are other teams Tkachuk is willing to consider. I could see the Rangers being a problem. See you Jordan, you fucked up Game 6 anyway.
Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
166Wonder what Keith Tkachuk and Army have been talking about lately............................

167The article isn't behind a paywall. He's definitely going to be moved.

171Vegas would just put their top two lines on IR for the first 3/4 of every season through the length of Tkachuk's contract and hope they can still make the playoffs in the last 1/4 of the season.Dave's a mess wrote: Wed Jul 20, 2022 1:21 pmAfter a VERY quick look at each of those team's roster/cap, I do think Kyrou is probably the best trade chip that seems to actually be available. 173Calgary trades to St Louis a talented young winger who is the the son of a former superstar and who is about to enter the prime of his career. Why does that sound familiar?
