Should be more, but prob 2 or 3 games. No way to predict nhl discipline. Not sure what brand of dice they're using this week.

At full-speed Kassian's kick looks in the same ballpark.

Simon got 30 because he had another monster suspension not long before that. I have no ide where this one will land, but generally I think the punishment should be severe for kicking someone in the heart with a knife shoe.

Hope they throw the book at this goon. Knowing the league though he will get 2-3 games. There’s lines you don’t cross and kicking especially blade first is just fucked up.
Sounds like this suspension might cut deep. Kassian better spend a lot of time sharpening his defense. After losing McDavid to injury, Kassian's lengthy suspension sure will feel like kicking a team while they're down. Wonder if this causes the the Oilers to kick the tires on more wingers in the trade market. They may as well take a stab.

So Cernak wasn’t hurt since there is padding where he got kicked, but if he had moved a bit, Kassian’s skate could have caught him in the throat. Fuck that guy......there was nothing really going on there and it shows a total lack of self-control.

100% agree. This is a McSorley-Brashear level of stupidity tantrum, that could have had permanent consequences. Regardless of the suspension, Kassian is pretty damn lucky.
