He'd be a better player if he'd stop trying to be a hard-ass and just play the game. He has the skills, but not the mindset.

Washed up? Since he plays for the Stars, I hate the SOB, but man, I'd take him on this team in a heartbeat. The eye test says he's still a hell of a player.

Point taken, but the stats say the Blues were in last place about this time last year too. I'm guessing at the end of this season, Benn's stats will reflect his ability.

Right, Benn might not be what he once was, but he’s still a great player. It seems like he just doesn’t score on those laser shots he used to have. When he was scoring 40 goals, he was firing lasers and picking corners from far range. You don’t see that anymore with him and I don’t know why. Maybe he’s lost a step and he can’t create space for himself like he used to.

More of a comment on the body of work over his last couple of starts than any one save. No Shakey Jakey the last couple of games.

I'll confess, I'm one of those who thought JBo was done about this time last year. But he has TONS of experience and hockey-smarts and still skates and moves the puck well enough to apply them effectively.
