No specific word on lines as this morning was an optional skate but JB50 will be the starter and Sammy Blais is taking Tarasenko spot on the top line. Jim Thomas saying Gunnar is in the lineup tonight and that Fabbri is a scratch.

Interested to see the lines for tonight. Also want to see how these guys play after the news of Tank setting in. Schenn, ROR, DP57 have been in beast mode. Who else is gonna step it up. Schwartz? Thomas? Bozak? Petro? CP55? I'm talking to y'all.

Let's Go Blues!!!

Let's GO BLUES!!!

Blais and Steen 'game time decisions, but per Blais, he's in and on top line:

PROJECTED LINEUP
Forwards

Schwartz - Schenn - Blais / Steen
Sanford - O'Reilly - Perron
Fabbri / Blais / Steen - Bozak - Thomas
MacEachern - Barbashev - Sundqvist

Defense

Parayko - Pietrangelo
Bouwmeester - Faulk
Dunn - Gunnarsson

Goalie

Binnington

Bold = Game Time decisions

I'd guess as others that Blais is on top line, at least to start, and Steen w/ Bozak and Thomas, but jumping up if Blais looks out of place, with Fabbri riding the cool view chair in the press box.

Good kill by The Blues, and a great chance for Thomas not long after.

Lucky break for The Blues that The Wild take a slashing penalty in their O-Zone while The Blues were floundering, unable to get possession. They've got to take advantage on this PP and open the game's scoring!

Not a great period for The Blues. They were sluggish and sloppy for a large portion of it. They did have a few really good flurries, but were unable to get the puck into the net. They were very lucky on 2 plays where The Wild almost scored. They could be down 0-2. So, I hope they come out stronger in The 2nd, playing a little more deliberately, and with more poise, controlling the game more. Thomas seems to be getting a little more comfortable than the past several games. But The Wild vets are handling him well, keeping him from making plays.

Love your synopsis as always. Really comes in handy for those who didn’t get to catch the action. Didn’t really watch the first of. I see the Wild outshot us 12-7.

Sammy Blais wrists it into the corner after a feed from O'Reilly!!! :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: Blues lead 1-0!!!! Pietrangelo, who got a secondary assist, made the play by blocking out TWO Wild defenders, crashing towards the net in front of Blais .

Hey Faulk, maybe stay with that guy right in front of the net?

Yet another case of The Blues finally scoring after a long dry period, and then giving one up right after that. I hope they aren't drifting back into old, pre-Berube habits. With their best goal-scorer out, they can't afford to do that.

But....just as I type this, O'Reilly scores on a quick shot, and The Blues lead 2-1. Now the announcers say that The Blues were offside! And it seems they were. Wow! My heart is going up and down. Let's make it easier on me with a few goals to relieve the pressure.

TERRIBLE giveaway by Faulk. He's been doing that sporadically, all season so far. He seems to have puck control and passing problems a veteran defenceman shouldn't have.

Why are we playing down to their level? Where's the cycling down low in their zone. Where's the hits? Where's the hustle?

Shakeoff that stupid offsides call and go score some goals.

Petro dangles like he's 99. Several Wild players, including goalie Doobie, go sliding out to who knows where.

Petro's agent has the number 9 in his brain...
