103I get what you're saying, but Tarasenko has had plenty of highlight reel goals/plays because of being creative.barnburner wrote: He has to learn to pick his spots, so it works within the system. He should talk to Oshie. It wasn't until he learned that lesson that his talent really became as productive as it should have been much sooner.
He's a PPG player, which is something Oshie has never been. Tarasenko is definitely more skilled than Oshie. They play a different type of game.

106Ports has been completely ineffective on the top line.

Not sure if he's trying to send a message or what, but Hitch has got to end this experiment.
Re: GDT: Wild vs Blues 3/14 - 7:00 CT / 8:00 ET
109Wild are still the most boring team in the league all these years later. Blues need to step up and put this one away.
Re: GDT: Wild vs Blues 3/14 - 7:00 CT / 8:00 ET
110Great plays by Oshie and Bortuzzo to mandhandle an opponent to keep the puck in play. I can't believe how much better The Blues are playing than The Wild, and yet they haven't taken the lead. I don't want them to face Dubnyk in a shootout, even though The Blues are the best in The NHL at shootouts.
Re: GDT: Wild vs Blues 3/14 - 7:00 CT / 8:00 ET
111Most of those highlight goals came in the first half. Not so much since the league has adjusted. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan. But the fancy stuff usually ends up in your own net in the playoffs.HockeyFan85 wrote:I get what you're saying, but Tarasenko has had plenty of highlight reel goals/plays because of being creative.barnburner wrote: He has to learn to pick his spots, so it works within the system. 112How about DD? Turn around of the year?
Is EDM that bad?

115Aaaaand that sucks. The Blues have no one to blame but themselves for this shit.
Re: GDT: Wild vs Blues 3/14 - 7:00 CT / 8:00 ET
116Well that third goal sure makes my defense of Tarasenko look bad.
Re: GDT: Wild vs Blues 3/14 - 7:00 CT / 8:00 ET
121Looks like Tarasenko needs another ass kicking from Backes at practice next week.

123Petro still can't tie up anyone in the slot and then ZM trips Tarasenko. Just like that we;re down by 2.
Re: GDT: Wild vs Blues 3/14 - 7:00 CT / 8:00 ET
124That's the problem with this game tonight. Guys trying to be creative and leaving their linemates scratching their heads at what they are actually doing.
The players only have themselves to blame for this performance tonight and get ready for Dallas who always plays them tough tomorrow.

125Well...I just don't know what to say. A couple of embarrassing goals...we just folded.
