Re: News and Games around the NHL
4176Okay so they scored 9 goals, big deal.
Just a Russian propaganda account
Yeah, but they gave up 3! That's enough to lose some hockey games. Sure, not enough to lose many games when you're the 2021-22 Avs, but still.
This is awful. Way too young to go.
Seems good. Blues should try that next year, though I'm rather enjoying what they're doing right now anyway.Dread_Pirate_Westley wrote: Mon Apr 18, 2022 10:22 am The Florida Panthers are what happens when the preseason hope that, "well if everyone just has a career year" comes true.
Dallas about to lose tonight though. Vegas not out of it yet.
They're done. 4 points back, 5 to play, will both teams they are chasing having a game in end. They face Washington, have to travel to Dallas. Blues can put the nail in their coffin the final game of the season which Im thinking will be an important one for the Blues. And yet, if you look at draftkings, they are +2000 to win the cup while our Blues are +2200BillP. wrote: Tue Apr 19, 2022 12:05 amDallas about to lose tonight though. Vegas not out of it yet.
Their only hope is to snag third in the Pacific. Which isn't out of the realm of possibility.Dread_Pirate_Westley wrote: Tue Apr 19, 2022 8:29 amThey're done. 4 points back, 5 to play, will both teams they are chasing having a game in end. I suppose its POSSIBLE but the Kings have 5 games left with a 3 point cushion and they are all versus teams out of the playoffs who will likely just be looking to get to the off-season without having to rehab an injury. If they just win 2 of those 5 the Knights would have to win out.BluesSK wrote: Tue Apr 19, 2022 9:40 amTheir only hope is to snag third in the Pacific. This Vegas team reminds me a lot of the 2017 Lightning and 2015 Kings. Both had lots of talent and playoff success the prior year, but never got on track. Despite all that everyone just assumed they'd make it all year until they missed out. I think it will be MUCH funnier if Vegas misses based on the way they've operated the past few years.Dread_Pirate_Westley wrote: Tue Apr 19, 2022 9:46 amI suppose its POSSIBLE but the Kings have 5 games left with a 3 point cushion and they are all versus teams out of the playoffs who will likely just be looking to get to the off-season without having to rehab an injury. A very rough week for a pair of all-time greats. 5, Cups, 3 Art Ross, 2 Harts, 1 Conn Smythe, and the leading scorer in Habs history...all while having a cigarette between each intermission. The Habs won the Cup in 1971, but Sam Pollack managed to swindle the California Golden Seals out of the first overall pick that summer. Ultimately they had to decide between two future Hall of Famers and Quebec natives in LaFluer and Marcel Dionne. They made their choice and the rest is history. Towards the end of LaFluer's career, after he'd taken 3 years off in the late 80s he was traded from the Rangers to the Nordiques for a 5th round pick. By late 80s standards, that's not much of a return for a legend even if he was past his prime, right? With that pick the Rangers selected future Hall of Famer Sergei Zubov.BluesSK wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 7:55 am Fuck me. First Bossy, now Guy Lafleur. I don’t know if I can remember 2 greats like this going down so close together and to add to it they both succumb to the same illness. Just terrible news.BluesSK wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 7:55 am Fuck me. First Bossy, now Guy Lafleur. When I was a little kid, he was my absolute favorite. Very sad.
Your American is showing Dave. The iconic surname was Lafleur. You should've stuck with Bossie.Dave's a mess wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 8:44 amA very rough week for a pair of all-time greats. 5, Cups, 3 Art Ross, 2 Harts, 1 Conn Smythe, and the leading scorer in Habs history...all while having a cigarette between each intermission.
