I would say it's a contingency at this point. Wouldn't rule out Petro inking a deal here provided we get the home town discount. Would Toronto even be able to fit Petro in over there? Could be other deals in place down the line. DA is on a roll.

43yeah, sounds like the Canes are loaded at LHD, so a possible move there would make sense for sure. One thing is for sure, JEd is going to have tons of motivation to have his best year ever now. Good luck to him...and anyone in his way!

I like Faulk at his current deal, but don’t see the point in a 7 year deal for him. Not sure I’m that sold on him. I think we’re better off in the long run with Petro at 9M compared to Faulk at 6.5M. Saying that, we’re definitely much better today than we were yesterday.

Seriously, a LOT can and will happen over the next two seasons before the 2021 draft, so I'm not worried about that at all. Odds are that one or more of those four players may be gone anyway by then.

49If JayBo stays healthy he could stick around a while on one year deals. I really think the Blues wont be re-signing Petro. Not when some team is going to pay him $10M+.
