Want to watch your Blues play hockey in May? Looks like ten on them are not avid golfers.
USA v Canada Friday 0915
Thompson v Schenn Schwartz 55 and JEd
Re: 2018 IIHF Worlds
2Funny but this is the one hockey tourney I have zero interest in. Honestly I’d just prefer our guys not play in it at all. No need to risk injury....especially Schwartz.

3I thought the same thing. Rather have 17 rest and heal up.NHLTIM wrote:Funny but this is the one hockey tourney I have zero interest in. Honestly I’d just prefer our guys not play in it at all. No need to risk injury....especially Schwartz.
Guys like Thomas and Kyrou would benefit from this tourney but they are not available.
Re: 2018 IIHF Worlds
455 and 17 looked real good for Canada against the US in the first game. TT had a nice pass for an assist.
US beating Denmark right now 1-0.

Re: 2018 IIHF Worlds
5So Jaskin got an OT winner against the Slovaks. As Mel Allen would say "How about that?"
Re: 2018 IIHF Worlds
610 and 55 get a goal each as Canada puts up 6 against Korea.
Korea's goalie has a funny sounding name...
Dalton.

Re: 2018 IIHF Worlds
7OUCH! South Korea getting hammered again after the Olympics. No points & only 2 goals scored while 29 allowed.
It would be nice if a non-European team could compete at this level. I once thought Japan could do it but now I doubt it unless something really changes.

Re: 2018 IIHF Worlds
8Germany beats Finland 3-2 in OT, Fins outshoot Germans 38-15 but Husso with the L in OT. Despite win, Germany is out of playoff picture due to not winning in regulation.
And USA enjoys scrimmage with Norway today winning 9-3.

Re: 2018 IIHF Worlds
9Jaden Schwartz was put into the boards and left the game clutching his arm. Possibly a shoulder injury...
Fun.

11Literally every Blues fan that saw that he was going to play in this tournament knew this was going to happen. It made no sense for him to be playing.T.C. wrote:of course.Dread_Pirate_Westley wrote:Jaden Schwartz was put into the boards and left the game clutching his arm. Possibly a shoulder injury...

KA-KAW!
Re: 2018 IIHF Worlds
12If Schwartz is out for an extended period, next season is REALLY going to suck. If he is, I hope it won't prevent Armstrong from trading 21, 71, or both.
Re: 2018 IIHF Worlds
13Are the Blues not allowed to tell Schwartz to stay home because if that's the case then it is what it is.
But if the Blues can make their player stay home and not participate in a tournament, then shame on them for not doing so. Schwartz already came back from an injury so it's not like he was in great shape to play anyway.

Re: 2018 IIHF Worlds
14I like the tournament for sending young up and coming pro players not core veterans.BillP wrote:Are the Blues not allowed to tell Schwartz to stay home because if that's the case then it is what it is.

15Especially core players who may or may not have the label of 'injury prone'.

16rutherford says he will be fine. not sure if he'll return to tournament, but no surgery needed.

18Gee....who saw that coming. I swear...fucking Schwartz....Sometimes I really just wish we'd move on from him. He'll be hurt again the middle of next season too...you can pretty much bank on it.
