No ifs ands or buts about it, this is a must win game for the Blues.

Biggest game of the year. If we somehow beat Colorado tonight, and NYR on Saturday, the Blues will be in a real solid position.

Dallas might be out most likely team to takeover, and I think Minny could be in trouble too.

I hope they continue their desperate, backs to the wall forecheck. That's what has turned it around for them. A stifling forecheck has allowed other lines to chip in with goals.

Keep it up, boys.

Man, I am pumped to watch the game tonight. I don't think its a must win, but it is damn near. Let's hope they bring the energy and get the crowd into the game early.

Interesting to note that according to this the Blues control their own destiny for both wild card spots. It's weird having games in hand on the team's they're chasing after the opposite was true most of the year.

I'm taking my 14 year old nephew tonight. I hope the boys show up!

Right now, by point %, we are in 10th place in the West, with 2 games in hand on Dallas and Anaheim just ahead of us. If we win both of those games in hand (And at least one of those wins in regulation or OT), we jump over both of them for the #8 place.

We're also in a dead heat with LA, who we only have 1 game in hand against, but they're 3 points ahead of us, so it's very realistic that we could overtake them, too.

Also, Colorado is 3 points ahead of us with the same number of games played, but we play them twice more this season (including tonight). If we beat them tonight and in the final game of the season (In regulation), and match their exact same record otherwise, we jump ahead of them, too.

It starts with winning tonight, though. We could realistically, VERY easily, end up anywhere from 6th to 10th (Calgary is a point ahead of us, but we have 2 games in hand on them, so I don't think we'll slide to 11th).

I hate games in hand. It seems like everyone we count on those, it always backfires.

HUGE Game tonight, excited to watch this one. Basically, the Blues playoffs have started NOW. Any kind of losing streak and you will be out.

They need to win 9 out of 13 to have any realistic chance.

Not long ago they had played as many as 3 games more than some teams in the league, and now they have played as many as 2 games fewer than some teams. NHL scheduling is so screwy.

I don't know whether we'll need 9 wins, but we've got a lot of VERY winnable games coming up: Chicago x3, Colorado x2, Arizona, NY Rangers, Vancouver, Columbus. The only ones I'd be surprised to get a W are Vegas, Boston, Washington, and maybe San Jose.

Too bad there aren't more different cameras around the net. It looked like the puck might have completely crossed the goal line, but there' s no film evidence. Varlamov has been stellar so far. Schenn could easily have scored on his hard shot.

Blues need badly to score on this power play, to get a good start in this crucial game.

Super save by Allen, keeping the scoreless tie. I hope that means he's still hot. We need a repeat of late last year, when he came out of his slump, and led The Blues back into a good playoff position, and played spectacularly in the playoffs.

So much for trying to get an early lead. And this is almost a "must game". We need a major comeback.

The D has been on fire these last few games. I don't really know what has happened but all of a sudden we are playing like we did early in the year. North/South,hard checking, funneling shots to the net, Allen back on his game. I just hope they didn't wait too long.
