Quite a broad topic (obviously), but just wanted people to throw out a few predictions for fun. There are always guys that play better than expected and those that fail to meet expectations...what are your thoughts on who might surprise or disappoint?

I think Fabbri will have a mildly disappointing season (still recovering from knee surgery combined with high expectations), Paajarvi will pot at least 15 goals, and Lehtera will have a surprisingly decent season for Philly.

Alex Steen will become the new whipping boy (no Lehtera, Berglund out for awhile) for Blues fans everywhere.

Allen will once again experience growing pains, leading some Blues faithful to try to run him out of town.

Stastny will have a career year for the Blues due to contract status and finally having some real competition at the center ice position.

Surprise: That it took someone so long to post such a thread.

Disappointment: In myself, that I'm adding a Reply.

Allen will suffer a season ending injury. Blues trade for Elliott, and he leads them to the Cup.

I don't know about Alex Steen being the new whipping boy for everybody but I can guarantee he's going to be mine.

Here are some D-centric predictions:
-Walman and Dunn are in the lineup together for at least 20 games.
-Edmundson struggles on second pairing with Parayko.
-Bouwmeester struggles to stay healthy.
-Pietrangelo and Parayko each set career highs in points.
-Blues finish in top 7 in goals scored, but 15th in goals against.

Prediction.

Bouwmeester fractures ankle and will be re-evaluated in 3 weeks.
Sanford separates shoulder and is out 5-6 months.

I will be disappointed if there arent any surprises and surprised if there arent any disappointments this season.

No worries on the 3rd one. Vladi is a Russian citizen, so he cannot technically "defect" back to Russia.
