ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues will host the Dallas Stars on Monday night in the second meeting of the season between the division rivals.
Dallas took the first game 6-2 at American Airlines Center on Nov. 3.
"I know how dangerous they are. They don't need a lot of chances to score," Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock said of the Stars. "They're maybe one of three or four teams in the West that really do damage off the rush. We just have to eliminate their rush attack chances. We did a very good job for a period of time in the first game we played and they got away from us."
The Blues held an optional morning skate on Monday, but here is a projected lineup for the game against the Stars based on Saturday's lineup vs. Minnesota.
Forwards:
Jaden Schwartz - Paul Stastny - David Perron
Robby Fabbri - Jori Lehtera - Vladimir Tarasenko
Dmitrij Jaskin - Patrik Berglund - Ty Rattie
Scottie Upshall - Kyle Brodziak - Ryan Reaves
Defense:
Jay Bouwmeester - Alex Pietrangelo
Carl Gunnarsson - Kevin Shattenkirk
Robert Bortuzzo - Colton Parayko
Goalie:
Jake Allen

4I'm liking Borts game more and more this year, Colt 55 and him are a formidable pairing.

7Nice one on one play by Bortz..wonder who sits when Eddie comes back
Re: GDT: Blues vs Stars 7PM FSMW
9The Blues could use some of that Red Green duct tape on these Chinese knockoff sticks... wonder if Dave Christian wants to make some side money and solve this stick problem for our boys
Re: GDT: Blues vs Stars 7PM FSMW
10Another very good defensive play by Bortuzzo!
Reaves, Berglund and Brodziak are looking good and very energetic - as are all The Blues, in general.
And Fabbri scores after Bortuzzo helps on offence, with carrying the puck on the rush, and a nice feed to Fabbri!
Blues lead 1-0!!!

11Gonna be hard to sit Bortz... but Hitch will probably find a way

12And Bortuzzo is looking like Bobby Orr lately! I love it!!!
Blues on the PP! Let's score!

19Berglund knocks the puck into a pile of players at The Stars' goal, and Pietrangelo knocked it in!!! Blues lead 2-0!!
Re: GDT: Blues vs Stars 7PM FSMW
20*Bergie on the assist, Petro with the goal. And breakaway save by Niemi on Fabbri
Re: GDT: Blues vs Stars 7PM FSMW
23Fabbri should have lifted that breakaway shot. With the goalie down, he had a 95% open net. Too bad.
