Right after our traveling party desperately entered the restaurant for lunch, a family of three came in: a 30-something father, maybe 5'4" & 330 lbs., on a heavy duty mobility scooter; his slightly younger looking missus, "petite" @ 280 lbs. in her best mumu; and their early grade school aged son, with a headstart on a life of diabetes & camo painted 4WD utility vehicles. The father freewheeled to an oversized corner booth, while Momma & child passed up the stack of dinner plates at the buffet and filled 3 trays with heaping piles of Okla-gourmet vittles.

I lost what was left of my appetite & waited in the car.
