Re: GDT: Blues @ Rags, 6pm CST
27Still can't believe Gunnarson was parked in the slot 15 seconds into the game. How the heck did he end up there? Blues D has gone mad!
Re: GDT: Blues @ Rags, 6pm CST
28If Hitchcock was behind the bench he'd be a healthy scratch next game for being so deep in the offensive zone.
Re: GDT: Blues @ Rags, 6pm CST
29Gunnarsson has 2 goals in 3.33 games! That projects to 53 goals for an 82-game season!!! The Blues have a very offensive blueline (where have I heard THAT before?), with Pietrangelo, Parayko, Dunn, Walman and The NEW Gunnarsson!!! Who needs Shattenkirk???

31Bouw gets a hat trick his first game back. Believe me.Robb_K wrote:Gunnarsson has 2 goals in 3.33 games! That projects to 53 goals for an 82-game season!!! 33Schenn has made me feel bad about some of the things I've called DA after the Ryan Miller fiasco.
Re: GDT: Blues @ Rags, 6pm CST
34PK looking good again this year...honestly can’t remember the last time we had a bad PK.

35Thompson needs to learn to pass.don't want to be labeled a perron.
Re: GDT: Blues @ Rags, 6pm CST
36Nice blast by Sobotka, after a nice tic-tac-toe play by Schwartz, Schenn ad Sobi. Too bad it didn't go in. I didn't know Sobotka could hit the puck that hard. It would be nice to see him knocking in goals in bunches.
A decent 2nd for The Blues. They take the "dreaded 1-goal lead into The 3rd.

37I see that as one of those kinds of moves that he HAD to make, knowing it was a gamble, but it just didn't pan out. MANY pundits thought our only weakness that year was goaltending, and Miller was highly rated, so many thought it was a perfect fit. Just didn't work out, but sometimes you have to take that risk.BlueinNy wrote:Schenn has made me feel bad about some of the things I've called DA after the Ryan Miller fiasco.
Re: GDT: Blues @ Rags, 6pm CST
38According to HockeyReference.com, the last time the Blues' PK% was below the League average was in the 2010-11 season; and that was by a mere 0.26%. In 2006-07, they were about 2.5% below League-wide average. So the penalty kill has definitely been a bright spot for the team for quite some time.UMSLBlues12 wrote:PK looking good again this year...honestly can’t remember the last time we had a bad PK.

39Great stutter-step drive by Schwartz on the PK, to draw a penalty and even things up!

42That should be 2 5 minute majors for Kamper high-sticking 2 Blues' players with one swing! As it is, The Blues get a 5 on 3! Let's add to the lead!
Re: GDT: Blues @ Rags, 6pm CST
43Super save by Hutton to preserve the lead! But The Blues fail to score on the 5 on 3.
Re: GDT: Blues @ Rags, 6pm CST
44Blues don’t score on 5 on 3, then give up a SH breakaway. Hutts to the rescue, still 2-1 Blues

48Wow, Hutton with a sequence of at least 2 amazing point blank saves. Sprawling out like Brodeur
Re: GDT: Blues @ Rags, 6pm CST
50Another good save by Hutton. The Blues are drained, just hoping they can hang on by running on the fumes.
