Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
152Nice board play at the Blue line by Bleackley and MacEachern, setting up Musil with lots of time in the slot. Nice low stick side shot.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!
Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
1532 minutes on Mike McKee. Blues on PK.
ETA: A too-many-men penalty. Gotta check BTF for the in-depth analysis & blame on that one.

Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
154Blues with very good team-D on that penalty kill. Strong forecheck, good denial at their blueline.

Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
155Really good PK. Thomas and his forward partner applied great pressure on forecheck.

156Kostin sure falls down a lot. Gets pushed around very easily.

157The more I watch the more I like Musil. He appears to be the only NHL-ready forward prospect at this time. His hockey smarts and defensive play are much better than anyone else to my eye.
Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
158This is the first game of the tourney I've been able to watch. Picture is better than I thought based on the gifs, but I don't know most of the player's numbers, and the announcer doesn't seem to know many either. I think Toropchenko laid a big open ice hit at one point, other than that not a ton of noteworthy highlights aside from the goal.

Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
159I didn't see Game #2, but Dhillon is definitely showing more poise in Game #3 than Fitz did in Game #1. Final first period shot tally: Jackets 16- Blues 9. 1-1 going into the locker rooms.
Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
160Blues PP coming up after Kostin was tripped.

Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
161Make it a 5-3 for 1:05.

163Walman makes it 2-1 on the PP.

Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
166Blues PP seems to just be a series of one-timers, usually Walman or Thompson from top of circles. Not surprising since they don't really have time to set up any kind of more complicated system. Thomas has been the QB from the point today with Kostin the net front presence.

Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
169Robert Thomas is scrappy, but he looks like he needs to add some upper body strength to battle against the big boys.
Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
170You certainly can see flashes of great things from most of the big names, but Walman does seem to be the most well rounded and ready for the big leagues in this group. That 7th D battle should be quite interesting over the next few weeks. Hope Dunn is ready to roll as well. Gunnarsson better do everything he can to not get hurt in camp.

Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
171Last several minutes of the 2nd period looking like the early first, with Columbus pressing constantly. 2-1 Blues Prospects after 40 minutes, total SOGs now Blues 16-Jackets 23.

Re: Traverse City Prospect Tournament
175Tage Thompson makes it 3-2, on a 2-on-1. Just under 4-1/2 minutes left in regulation.
