Curious as to what all the Blues fans here think is happening to the Rams-are they staying or are they leaving?

They are staying. They would get zero "corporate welfare" in California, and they would be taxed into the ground there. California is more broke than Illinois.

At the end of the day, politics be the deciding factor. The final decision will come down to the NFL team owners vote. And how the owner's vote will set a precedent for future situations like this that could potentially impact their team. So, they will vote in favor of Kroenke having full control of what happens to his team so that each owner will have the same power in the future.

Fuck that stadium....raise my fucking taxes for no real net benefit other than a bunch of Football fans get to stand in the cold with their shirts off.

I don't go to many NFL games, but losing another NFL team I think would really hurt the city.

I don't like the Rams. I don't agree with caving to billionaires and building their toys for them with public money. However, so many people I consider friends and loved ones do care about the Rams so I really kinda hope they stay because I don't like to see people I care about lose their team.

Yeah, I hope they don't leave, but most of what I've read seems to point to them leaving. It doesn't make sense to me--Oakland has no plans for a new stadium and San Diego is further behind than St. Louis is on building a new one.

Most penalties in a game that I can recall...ever. There were so many times that there were more than one on a play, that the ref seemed confused...and he seemed to be losing his voice from explaining them to the crowd/camera. They're likely gone. Ray Hartmann has been almost 100% right about everything involving the Rams since 2010.

This stadium deal is bullshit...there are hidden costs and the city is going to be footing the bill. You can tell it is a bad deal if the little midget is in favor of it.

My guess is the rams are gone but there will be a team here if that makes sense. Kroenke can go, just leave the team. I'm not really a football fan but the majority of my friends are and would hate to see them go.
I would think the nfl would have a mountain of antitrust lawsuits on their hands if they left.

Leaving. The NFL is not going to deny a guy who is capable and quite willing to write checks to cover all the expenses, eliminating all the side issues of getting a stadium built, etc. I'd prefer they stay, but, I was a diehard Big Red fan, and when they left, I discovered that the sun kept coming up every day. So, it's not a real big issue for me.

I like being an NFL city, but I hate the cartel mindset of the NFL. I'd rather the team leave than use taxpayers money to build a stadium in which Kroenke/NFL gets all the revenue. It's a money loser for the citizens.

I was thinking they are probably leaving until this week happened. Talk about a momentum swing in the direction of the Rams are staying.

The bottom line is if Kroenke REALLY wants to leave the NFL can't stop him. The NFL has NEVER stopped an owner from leaving before. Even Lt. Governor Peter Kinder said the Rams are gone. Who cares?

The last stadium was supposed to be an economic boom but has done NOTHING! Studies have shown stadiums do NOT bring economic riches to a city!
