81After a great glove save Hofer was so startled he made it, he handed the puck to a Canuck!
But, no problem, as The gifted Canuck gives it right back to The Blues, and Schenn buries the winner instantly, into the right corner, off the nice feed from Leddy from behind the net. The Blues out a tough one on the road.
They're now only 1 point out of a playoff position, with a game in hand.

86The Blues are BACK!!! And they're doing it without scoring from Kyrou! And the forum posters will follow! We'll be up to 5 in no time!

87Next year when kyrou is a stud again, and with snuggerud, we could be dangerous!Robb_K wrote: Wed Jan 24, 2024 11:58 pmThe Blues are BACK!!! And they're doing it without scoring from Kyrou! And the forum posters will follow! We'll be up to 5 in no time!

Re: Blues vs. Vancouver 9PM, Jan 24/24
89Wins on back to back nights on a Western Canada trip is a rare accomplishment, particularly with Vancouver's position in the standings. I know the rest of the stat sheet was ugly, but its still a job well done.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!
Re: Blues vs. Vancouver 9PM, Jan 24/24
90Exactly. There’s a chance both worlds (old Blues and new Blues) can meet and another Cup run is in the near future. That’s why you got to hang onto Binner. If the new kids catch on quick, who knows!Ozzies09tc wrote: Thu Jan 25, 2024 12:18 amNext year when kyrou is a stud again, and with snuggerud, we could be dangerous!Robb_K wrote: Wed Jan 24, 2024 11:58 pmThe Blues are BACK!!! 91As much as I'd love it, I'm doubtful, too. But I think we've shown that, if we play at our best (we were NOT at our best last night), would could make the playoffs (especially given LA's implosion), and possibly steal a round. IMHO, pushing for that is preferable to trading off players that we wouldn't get much return for, and drafting in the 10-15 area.Ozzies09tc wrote: Wed Jan 24, 2024 11:54 pm(Doubtful) could we 2019 again??RAFritchey wrote: Wed Jan 24, 2024 11:45 pmWith Arizona losing earlier tonight, the Blues are now 1 point behind Nashville for the second wild-card spot, with a game in hand.

92If Neighbors and Toropchenko progress even moderately, we could have some really good depth to support top guys like Kyrou, Roberts, Buchnevich and up and coming offensive guys like Snuggerud.BillP wrote: Thu Jan 25, 2024 4:52 pmExactly. 93I agree! Neighbors developing has been a pleasant surprise. The Brendan Morrow comparison is looking better all the time.RAFritchey wrote: Thu Jan 25, 2024 5:30 pmIf Neighbors and Toropchenko progress even moderately, we could have some really good depth to support top guys like Kyrou, Roberts, Buchnevich and up and coming offensive guys like Snuggerud.BillP wrote: Thu Jan 25, 2024 4:52 pmExactly. 95Neighbours was a 1st rd pick, Kyrou was a 2nd rd pick.
So i think Kyrou is the bigger "surprise" imo

97The Blues own the rights to a player named Roberts??? Did you start to type "Robertsson" and get interrupted? He seems to be looking like a bit of a bust, anyway. Or, are they planning to bring Dave Roberts back out of retirement? He's 53 now (although not all that much older than The Great 8 ).RAFritchey wrote: Thu Jan 25, 2024 5:30 pmIf Neighbors and Toropchenko progress even moderately, we could have some really good depth to support top guys like Kyrou, Roberts, Buchnevich and up and coming offensive guys like Snuggerud.BillP wrote: Thu Jan 25, 2024 4:52 pmExactly.
