Tkachuk beating him down is the most appealing option for me as it’s the least appealing one to Bruins fans.

Nicklas Backstrom announced he's taking a break from hockey to focus on his health. He's looked like an absolute shell of himself this year after major hip surgery. Probably is the end of a great career. He was the perfect center for Ovie and if he breaks the record, Backstrom will have had an important role in it.

Stiff punishment, especially because they weren't even involved the trade but probably warranted.

For those unfamiliar with the story, Dadanov was being traded to the Ducks by Vegas. However, he had a limited no-trade clause in his contract that neither the Knights nor Ducks knew the Ducks were on the list because it was originally filed with Ottawa when he signed with them as a free-agent that Ottawa didn't notify Vegas of.

He now plays in Dallas. What a tangled web.

The pick will go to whatever team that Lou Lamoriello happens to be managing at the time.

HUGE opportunity for Osh's side hustle and his pass-backwards thinking employers to develop & introduce (in about 10 years when they realize they've lost 85% of their audience) a head-to-toe combo advertising projection screen & hockey-strong protective body suit. QUICK, @T.C. - Patent that, and you'll be able to demand full-boat Blues season tickets in a Club-level suite AND free-for-life highest-def-imagineable unlimited streaming privileges!
It's already sold out with orders on backorder

You've got it all wrong Ozzie. Pinto didn't injure anyone and also sort of promoted some major sponsors of the league, so they're rewarding him by keeping him safe from dirty hits for half a season.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

More fallout from the pick forfeit. Apparently Peter Chiarelli, who is currently the Blues VP of Hockey Ops, is a rumored candidate to replace him.

Addition by subtraction for the Blues if so. He’s a bum and I don’t think it’s completely coincidence we’ve sucked since he’s joined the front office.

I really never thought a team would challenge the 74-75 Caps, but the Sharks seem intent on doing so. That was the Caps first season, and given the old expansion rules, they had every excuse for a terrible roster. The best story from their season was that they lost their first 37! road games. They finally won on March 28 against the Golden Seals. They celebrated by having every member of the team sign a trash can in the locker room and then skate it around on the ice like the Stanley Cup. The legend of the Stanley Can was born. They finished 8-67-5. It is absolutely remarkable that San Jose is well ahead (or is it behind) that pace already at 0-9-1 about an eight of the way through the season. Legendary stuff happening in Northern California this season.

hahah that's a damn good story.

Final score ended 10-1 last night.

Mark your calendars, Blues at SJ Nov 16th.
