129Somebody finally leaves COL. Maybe this gets the scoring winger market moving.

133If that's the going rate now, then is it really a bad contract?Dread_Pirate_Westley wrote: Wed Jul 13, 2022 1:50 pmBad contracts don’t make bad contracts not bad contracts

136If you want a fan base that's ready to light itself on fire, look to Philly. Gaudreau has wanted to play for his hometown team for years. It's been out there forever. He has a massive season the same year they bottom out. Do they clear cap space so the local boy can come home? No, they do not. They're going to be bad again next year, and will probably have to watch Gaudreau light them up for a division rival. Good times in Philly.

Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
138You know, I looked it up recently, outside of the KHL, they don't pay shit in the other EURO leagues. Up to 5 Million in Russia I think, and maybe up to 250K in Sweden (which is still not a lot) - all USA dollars. And the other leagues are like 10,000 USA dollars per month.Dave's a mess wrote: GET ER DONE, LEEERY!!

Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
141I had to mute this Blues "Super fan". Holy shit... some tourist who talks non-stop about the team. I mean tweeting 24/7 about them... and she will be back ten seconds into next season.

142Wow, can't wait to see the other half of this deal:

Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
143Jarmo makes a lot of noise and a lot of “one step forward, one step back” kind of moves……just enough to keep his job, I guess. But to be fair, he is in Columbus, so that can’t be easy to attract free agents or get homegrown players to sign long-term.
Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
144Literally nothing. Bill really starting to come due in Vegas for all those big contracts:
After this deal they have 7 forwards, 6 D, 1 goalie and are only about $5M under the cap
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!
Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
145Amazing. That Cup Final run might've been the worst possible outcome for long-term success.

146Don't fret, Dave, you'll get to hear plenty more from her when she becomes the Blues' new local rinkside reporter.

147I was actually trying to quote the Blues winged wheel tweet but somehow she got on there.JMC-STL wrote: Wed Jul 13, 2022 5:14 pmDon't fret, Dave, you'll get to hear plenty more from her when she becomes the Blues' new local rinkside reporter.

148What’s happening in Vegas is wild. They struck gold year one and might be the worst run franchise since then
