Teams scrambling for goalies. This means Kuemper is gone
Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
27Letang stays, but nothing for Malkin yet...
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!
Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
28Yeah. That's pretty crazy talk.Dave's a mess wrote: Thu Jul 07, 2022 11:15 am Why, in the year 2022, would a team that actually wants their goalie to stop pucks be interested in acquiring Matt Murray?
He's a PERFECT fit for Chicago or Arizona since they want their goalie to actively dodge pucks.
Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
31Yeah, but he could still be a great trade chip down the line for Wild. It’s a good investment for them.
Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
33A third rounder is more than I expected. Maybe Army is going to move up into the 2nd round now. Tim, maybe he snags one of your guys after all!
Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
34Oh my! Good for Husso I guess. There’s no way he was getting that out of DA.
"suck a dick Stan Lee"
Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
35Especially after the postseason Binner had. If he had shit the bed like he did for a lot of the regular season, the Blues would've been in a much tougher spot.Drubilly wrote: Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:08 amOh my! Good for Husso I guess. There’s no way he was getting that out of DA.

Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
36Getting a third for a guy you were days from losing for nothing is great work. Shows how much interest there must have been if Yzerman was willing to give up #73 just for exclusive negotiating rights.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!
Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
37The goalie carousel is a whirling dervish this morning!
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!
Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
38Agreed……guessing maybe the Blues let Detroit negotiate with Husso’s agent as part of the process, so maybe that’s why we were able to get a better returnDave's a mess wrote: Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:27 am Getting a third for a guy you were days from losing for nothing is great work. Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
39Army beat Sakic to the punch on this one:
I don't know how their relative value compares, but it'll be interesting to see what kind of pick Sakic can get, if any.

Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
40Odd to say about a Cup winning goalie so soon after, but I’d trust Husso more than Kuemper. Avs won in spite of him.Dave's a mess wrote: Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:37 am Army beat Sakic to the punch on this one:

Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
42I think that's true, but Kuemper was also never the same in the playoffs after he took that stick to the eye. Husso is younger and has more upside, Kuemper has experience on his side. With NHL GMs I never know what matters most with goalies.Beatoni12 wrote: Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:39 amOdd to say about a Cup winning goalie so soon after, but I’d trust Husso more than Kuemper. 43Especially because he fetched a 3rd for him and not the usual late round fodder.Beatoni12 wrote: Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:39 amOdd to say about a Cup winning goalie so soon after, but I’d trust Husso more than Kuemper. Teams are desperate for goalies this offseason. Devils just made a move for Vanecek of the Caps.

Re: NHL Offseason Trades/Signings Thread
45So Yzerman is stockpiling former Blues? Interesting. That says a lot about how Armstrong built up the organization.Dread_Pirate_Westley wrote: Fri Jul 08, 2022 9:26 amEspecially after the postseason Binner had. It's more money than we were prepared to give. Good for Husso I guess.
Fuck the Wings.
So is re-signing Lindgren a priority now?
