I'm not advocating we play him or trade him. Just seems like he's Charlie Brown. All he wants to do is kick the ball, and Lucy keeps pulling the ball away. 1st with Halak, then Miller, then Allen. This season he shit the bed at the worst time, I get that. But overall. Just wondering how history will remember the Brian Elliott era.

the backup goalie that could(n't)

A goalie who had extremely poor consistency, especially come playoff time. Pretty much he's a perfect personification of this team over the last five years.

He's just a guy. St. Louis' affinity for hard workers will elevate his status but the dude just doesn't have what it takes to be a starting goalie. Great backup though, glad to have him in that capacity.

He's a guy that I would love to have back next year as a backup that can potentially take over if the starter goes down or struggles (especially for just $2.5 million).
