When I saw Petro give the puck away right in front of Binner, I knew everything was right in the hockey world.Robb_K wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2020 6:16 pm Terrible fanned-puck giveaway by Pietrangelo right in front of the goal. Good thing Binnington has played super aware, and is on his game. All in all, I'm not disappointed in The Blues' play in The 1st. Every team has got to be a little rusty at this point.

31The Blues didn't put much effort into this game, because it didn't count. Maybe the fact that they got spanked will give them the desire to play their hardest and best against The AVs and every other team they face when the games count.

33Berube will get these guys dialed in and tuned when the time comes. Should be by game 2 or 3 of the round robin.

34If that's the case, then The Blues will have to win Game 1 against The Avs by guts, determination and using the body. And Binnington looked very sharp. So that's good news. They'll just have to score some goals by sending 3 players to the net every time the cross the line.BillP. wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2020 9:39 pm Berube will get these guys dialed in and tuned when the time comes. 35i'm very confused by them pumping in fan noise. i don't like it. who are they fooling? we all know what's going on. is it being pumped into the arena or just the feed? wish they'd give us alternate feed options. i was looking forward to no crowd sound as part of the uniqueness of the whole situation. but, we get the "nothing to see here, everything's totally normal" broadcast. of course.

36Alternate feed option would be great. I am impressed though how on short notice they can get the right type/tone of crowd reaction for a certain type of goal. I mean the reaction they get for one that squeaks thru the goalies pads is pretty impressive.T.C. wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 7:12 am i'm very confused by them pumping in fan noise. i don't like it. who are they fooling? we all know what's going on. is it being pumped into the arena or just the feed? wish they'd give us alternate feed options. i was looking forward to no crowd sound as part of the uniqueness of the whole situation. but, we get the "nothing to see here, everything's totally normal" broadcast. of course.
And I'll say this. I was watching the Lightning/Florida highlights, and there was NO, I mean NO crowd noise when a goal was scored in that game.
Obviously Florida had designated home ice in that game and the boys upstairs called it perfectly ----- dead silence

37According to one enthusiastic poster on HFB, the Blackhawks are unstoppable now ...
My favorite reply so far ...Who can stop the Hawks?
Impressive performance tonight, shutting down the Stanley Cup champion in title. Their offense is going full throttle, they have leadership experience, great minds behind the bench, and a strong goaltender who knows what it takes to win. Can anyone stop a team led by 100% healthy, motivated and ready Toews and Kane at this point?
i can think of 22 teams that can stop them. sorry montreal.

38As I posted earlier, I find the fake noise to be insulting. But hell, if they are going to do that, why not have massive fireworks displays and multi colored searchlights? If we are going to be silly, let's do it right!T.C. wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 7:12 am i'm very confused by them pumping in fan noise. i don't like it. who are they fooling? we all know what's going on. is it being pumped into the arena or just the feed? wish they'd give us alternate feed options. i was looking forward to no crowd sound as part of the uniqueness of the whole situation. but, we get the "nothing to see here, everything's totally normal" broadcast. of course.

39Tuned in, made it about 2-3 minutes before got bored and went back about my day. I don't care how long hockey has been gone, I just can't get into exhibition hockey. Sounds like the Blues can't either. Rooting for the Hawks to win the first round just to keep them away from the #1 pick.
Just a Russian propaganda account

41Yeah, nice consolation prize for the play in teams. You either get a shot at the Cup or a shot at the first overall pick. Not bad.Dread_Pirate_Westley wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 10:50 am Tuned in, made it about 2-3 minutes before got bored and went back about my day.
