Blues sign Scandella 4 years
14 years 13.1. He made a great impression in his short time here. Habs get a 4th round pick from the Blues because of the signing.
Just a Russian propaganda account
Perunovich plays the right side. I assume the Blues see him on the right side but who knows.UMSLBlues12 wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 4:02 pm Makes me wonder what Dunn’s future here is though. Is he just a third pairing guy? Scandella seems like the second pairing guy now. Couldn’t Perunovich do what Dunn does and potentially more on the third pair? Do we look to get something for Dunn?

It's all Monopoly Money by the time this pandemic is over with anyway. A loaf of bread will be like $10, 000.JMC-STL wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 6:25 pm Are these guys signing contracts based on per-game-played payments now? I've already got a luxury hotel/condo/resort complex with a multi-sheet ice complex & state-of-the-art training facilities covering the entire Boardwalk property. The NHL will carve a path to my door for this bastardization of a 2020 playoffs. So I'm good, but I was concerned for the NHLPA and its vulnerable members.Turk Sanderson wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 6:29 pmIt's all Monopoly Money by the time this pandemic is over with anyway. It's very rare that someone compares me with a logical thinker.
A Dunn and Faulk pairing on the 3rd shift is bad enough. Making that The 2nd shift would give me bleeding ulcers and a heart condition!!! WHO would play defence??? Pietrangelo WILL be around. Faulk may, or may not. 2 or 3 of Gunnarsson, Steen, Allen. and Bozak may not, based on need to clear space for Pietrangelo and Dunn. I'm confident that Pietrangelo will return. I think that Allen WILL definitely and Bozak likely be gone. If not, certainly one of the others will. But Dunn and Faulk together on a shift, would be a defensive disaster.NHLTIM wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 4:21 pmScandella - ParaykoDread_Pirate_Westley wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 4:11 pmScandella - PetroUMSLBlues12 wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 4:02 pm Makes me wonder what Dunn’s future here is though. Oh I don’t care how you line them up...that’s what we’re looking at if Petro leaves.Robb_K wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:02 pmA Dunn and Faulk pairing on the 3rd shift is bad enough. Dunn and Perunovich would be even worse! But I think Pietrangelo isn't going to be so money-hungry that he'll leave. I'm sure he'll want to stay and the 2 parties will be able to reach an agreement, and Allen is again a desirable commodity for, at least a couple teams, and he'll be gone, and one of Steen, Bozak, or Gunnarsson will also be gone. I'm not worried that Scandella's and Blais signings are hurting the chances of Pietrangelo returning. I still think, also, if Pietrangelo returns, Faulk may be going to Seattle in The Expansion Draft the year after, in a deal giving Seattle an incentive smaller than a lot of people think may be required, and Steen will be off the books by then (IF he wasn't shed the year before. And Thomas, and Kyrou will be producing nicely, and The Blues will have some cap room for emergencies, as well as their core intact. It's nice to have Bozak and Gunnarsson as depth, but I don't worry about them moving on. I hope Husso will be able to play adequately in The NHL even next season, so the loss of Allen won't be a negative factor.NHLTIM wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:40 pmOh I don’t care how you line them up...that’s what we’re looking at if Petro leaves.Robb_K wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:02 pmA Dunn and Faulk pairing on the 3rd shift is bad enough. Would you rather have Dunn paired with Perunovich who has no experience ? What if Mikkola takes a step back next season?
Nothing wrong with Dunn...he’s pretty damn good and he’s only getting better.
I still think you are downplaying how good Vince Dunn has been. He’s one of the best young dmen in the NHL and his advanced stats show it. He’s a huge part of the Blues plans going forward.Robb_K wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 10:52 pmDunn and Perunovich would be even worse! Same here. I've been watching some of the Cup replays, and his poise was quite noticeable.Matangama wrote: Sat Apr 18, 2020 8:10 am I’ll add my 2 cents on Dunn........one of the things I noticed when I rewatched the playoff games during the Cup run was how poised Dunn was. He never seems to panic, he’s aggressive, and he plays with fire. Yeah, he still makes mistakes defensively, but he is a character player and I’d be really disappointed if he doesn’t play for the Blues for a long time.
