Yep, not a bad deal for either party. Blues get a cheap deal, Blais gets a year to try to cash in.

Agreed...Blues need to give him some more ice time this year to see if it's worth keeping him. He's 23 and it's time to decide whether he is a NHL player or a minor league guy.

I guess it depends on your expectations. He proved in the playoffs he can play at this level in a bottom-six role as a hitter and occasional scorer. If you are thinking top 6, he will probably disappoint.

1/850,000 (assuming per year) is about 0:37 seconds. we signed the guy for one shift? if he uses it to make a between the legs back pass for the primary assist on a playoff goal, i'm ok with that. wonder what we're paying him for that though?
