I am against it but I’m smart enough to know that’s not socialism when they are gonna get back everything they send out via taxes anyway.
that's awesome, so our taxes will go up to support this spending?? Good to know and glad we no longer have a national budget deficit then here in the USA! And all these big businesses getting handouts...that's surely not a form of socialism is it? I thought capitalism was all about 'survival of the fittest?" Shouldn't a true capitalistic economy just let them fail if they cannot handle a simple little flu epidemic?
I think people making over a certain amount are not getting anything. These checks are not for the rich. I haven’t heard anything about big business getting anything. This money is to help people who’ve lost their jobs or by them some time due to this shutdown as well as help stimulate the economy. The government knows people aren’t going to save that money and the majority will blow it within a week. They are just hoping they spend it on taxable goods and service and not their local drug dealer.
But you’re right ...this is just a little flu outbreak so ask yourself what might the bigger picture really involve here and that’s where it gets pretty scary....or you could just keep believing this is all about a virus.
Are the poor bastards in Italy making decisions on who gets to live and who gets to not have a ventilator today a part of it? If there's an insidious plot behind this, what exactly is it?
Now are people going to take advantage of a shitty situation at the expense of their fellow humans? Absolutely. Just look at the rotten fucks who bought up a shit ton of sanitizer to try and gouge prices. It's pathetic. But I don't believe in conspiracies, we just aren't competent enough to manufacture anything on the scale you're vaguely suggesting. I believe that people are opportunists. Nothing more, nothing less.
