And that’s the sound of the horn. After 1 the Blues lead 1-0 on 13 shots to 9. the Blues felt in total control that period.

Good 1st Period for The Blues! Their forecheck was dominating. They had good movement on the power play. They'll have almost a full 2 minutes on The PP to start The 2nd, so they are in good shape.

Agreed, there was a Pete Rose like hustle in the team that’s been lacking. They are on their game through 1.

I wonder why Burns got by with the extra abuse on Perron after he took the penalty... if the situation was reversed, aside from getting his ass kicked, Perron would have definitely got an extra 2 minutes.

Blues fail to score on the PP. Some good sustained pressure but no real shots on goal.
They are playing good but if they can’t convert this second goal soon and let the sharks lurk, this may come back to bite them.

JB50 hasn’t seen much action this period but just came up with a 7.2 million dollar save and then get run over by his teammate bouncing off Marleau. Sharks just need to pair Marleau with Cheechoo and they are set

Good save by Binnington on that breakaway. But lousy that The Blues gave up 2 goals on breakdowns after having dominated play before the first. I hope they get back to their great forecheck in The 3rd.
