Did Bortz take his lunch money again?

:)

Happy for ROR; great choice and should be a great "C" for the Blues the next few years. Go win us another Cup Ryan!
As if Bortz could bully Sanford. Sanford showed leadership by letting Bortz hit him with those pillow punches and not fighting back because if he had walked through that door, he knew he would've severely hurt Bortz and obviously the team too. That's leadership. That's my captain.
Just a Russian propaganda account

Schenn, Parayko and Tarasenko get As.
Can't they hand out as many A's as they want? How can Schwartz not get one?
The current NHL Rulebook (ref. Rule 6) imposes a maximum of (3) Alternate Captains per team. But if the Team Captain is playing, there can only be (2) A's designated for that game. The way that Rule reads (very convoluted), it makes me wonder whether the League has modified it for this season. :?

The "A" for Tarasenko will most likely stand for "Absent". So Schwartz will probably get it in his place anyway. Maybe the Blues reasoned this.

What did we miss?
Little-known Blues History Trivia ... Petro lost his "C" briefly after Jamie Benn sat on him. It stuck to the ice, but luckily the Zamboni driver scraped it up with minimal damage to the patch (if not to the owner) and gave it to the Blues equipment manager. There was a short reinstatement/reattachment ceremony held in the locker room post-game, making AP27 the 22nd Blues captain.

I'll leave it to T.C.'s discretion whether this post better belongs in the "Random Blues history / memories thread."

Didn't work  At least not until he left the Blues and he was no longer "THE" guy.
Yep. In Dallas, Hitch simply gave him an ultimatum. Fit into the defensive scheme, or sit on the bench. Unlike in St. Louis, Dallas ownership stood behind the coach, leaving Hull with no leverage. When he went to Detroit, according to Hull, Bowman wouldn't even talk to him, which had to have been intimidating. :D
