Not great news. He had a ton of time for the shoulder to heal and if this is happening it sounds like it hasn’t healed up right.
Re: Tarasenko headed to STL for evaluation
2Eek. I guess we know why he didn't quite look right. I know we have hard working guys that can fill in, but Tarasenko is pretty much the only guy on this roster that can get you an "easy goal" once in a while. Hopefully it's not a Fabbri type situation.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!
Re: Tarasenko headed to STL for evaluation
3That’s concerning for sure. Here’s Kyrou’s chance to make an impact.
Ideally our lineup on a go forward is
17-90-57
10-21-33
12-18-9
49-70-20
Amazing what a difference having Barbs and Sunny in the lineup makes.

Re: Tarasenko headed to STL for evaluation
4Not great news at all. Watching him play you could tell something was off. I thought it was just rust.
Re: Tarasenko headed to STL for evaluation
5That's terrible. Sounds like his shoulder is just fucked. Hopefully his career isn't in jeopardy, cause when he's on and healthy Tarasenko is a game breaker.
Re: Tarasenko headed to STL for evaluation
6This shouldn't be happening after all this time. And he was originally projected to come back in late March?................ He's turning into Hossa. Blues might be stuck with a liability now.
Re: Tarasenko headed to STL for evaluation
7Reminds me of Wayne Babych. Fantastic first couple of years, but then fucked up his shoulder a couple of times and he was never the same. This sucks.
Re: Tarasenko headed to STL for evaluation
8Hossa averaged 70 games played per year with the Hawks, and was a huge asset on the ice every year except maybe the last one. His retirement season was easily predicted the moment that contract was signed since his actual salary dipped down to $1M. I don't think that's an apt comparison. If Tarasenko is out long term, that actually opens up cap space. The good news is this injury is upper body, and won't prevent him from getting on an exercise bike since the whispers you hear every year are that he's out of shape.BillP. wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2020 12:36 pm This shouldn't be happening after all this time. 9Well, Hossa ended up done, and now Tarasenko could be done. Whether the journey to being washed up isn't the same, done is done to me and Tank isn't looking too good these days.Dave's a mess wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2020 1:06 pmHossa averaged 70 games played per year with the Hawks, and was a huge asset on the ice every year except maybe the last one. 12So Hossa was a proxy for every single NHL player that ever retired, got it.BillP. wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2020 1:11 pmWell, Hossa ended up done, and now Tarasenko could be done. 13I hope he follows that advice. Re: Tarasenko headed to STL for evaluation
14Well that sucks, hopefully he can come back and be worth that price tag. I would hate to be in his shoes and have that feeling of taking up cap space and being able to produce anymore.
Re: Tarasenko headed to STL for evaluation
16ugh. shut your whore mouth. that's the first thing i thought of too.

18If Tarasenko helps the Blues win 3 Stanley Cups and then retires at age 38, I'm good with that.BillP. wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2020 7:57 pmYou got it buddybradleygt89 wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2020 1:24 pmBillP. wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2020 1:11 pm
