I also would give anything to have them back in the central. Seeing the winged wheel and blue note on the ice against each other is always a beautiful sight.

The Dead Wings Norris Division days were good times.

All the teams were bad but the Red Wings were the worst.

Can anyone explain why the first pick overall is being reserved for teams to be able to sandbag a five game series for?

Basically its so the lottery odds would be the same as they were at the beginning of the season. Detroit still had the best odds, but there were 8 placeholder teams that cumulatively had higher odds. Specifically, "Team E" was the winner of the lottery. In a way this was actually the simplest way to so it, besides just waiting for the play-in round to be over, which easily would have been the simplest solution.

No sympathy for Detroit. Hope the Blues go back to back to rub it in their face some more, both them and the Hawks.

Anybody got a preference who gets that number 1 pick? I’ll go with Montreal and Columbus as my top 2 choices.

I guess being Blues fans, we prefer that pick to go the East anyway, right?

Yep......didn’t want him in our division, and screw Edmonton, so glad to see it be the Rangers. Still a ridiculous situation that can only happen in the NHL!

I’m all ears for the possibility of this being rigged but I don’t think this was.
