Austin Rueschhoff

He's a local kid from Wentzville, been playing for Andy Murray at Western Michigan the last 3 years. I'm friends with his mom...went to school together. Anyway they were out celebrating last night with a hint of some big news coming today....just guessing that it could be NHL contract related. I'm not sure he's an NHL player...skating might hold him back but he's got decent hands for a big man that somebody might want to give him a shot especially for an AHL team. Anyway, maybe another local kid with a shot at the NHL. Hopefully we hear something today.

Great news.

He went to rookie camp with the Leafs a few years ago and played on a line with Marner at the start ...he played very well but didn’t get a contract.
Grotto Grill apparently was crowded as hell last night. St. Chuck county gives no fucks about quarantine. Me and my wife are headed there tonight!

As long as needed really. Probably three weeks. Just my guess though? I don’t see things getting as bad here as Italy but who the fuck really knows.

Huh. And yeah st Charles bars have been packed the past week. Can’t say I blame people for wanting to go out with a bang before total shut down but count me out. I’ve been at home watching old movies and lots of porn lol.

I can blame them. If they want to risk killing themselves, great - the world is probably better off without them. But what about about their families, neighbors, friends, co-workers that they may infect?

I should clarify, I can't blame their sentiment. The actual actions, yes it's fucked up.

He played on that 97 AAA Blues team with Matt Tkachuk, Keller , Kunin and Woll and the rest of those kids growing up. It’s really nice to see him get a chance especially after all those guys were drafted a few years ago.

You know Brian Leetch may be my best personal example of an all-time great I didn't really appreciate in his time. He obviously put up gaudy numbers and doesn't have any free space in his trophy case, but being in the Eastern Conference in the pre-Center Ice/NHL.tv days, I didn't see a ton of him. A couple of years ago however, I caught a replay of the 1996 World Cup of Hockey Final between the US and Canada. It was absurd how effortlessly he could just cruise the puck from behind his own net, through the neutral zone and into other team's end. Rules were different and all that, but I feel like he'd just absolutely dominate today.
...but whatever, the Blues won the Cup!!!!!

Crazy stat but all the talent on the 93-94 Stanley Cup Rangers team...their regular season leading scorer was a 23 year old d-man named Sergei Zubov. His 89 that year were easily his career high.

Yeah they were on espn a decent amount and that cup run was incredible. That was when my fandom was cemented honestly. I was more of an nba kid before that run. Prime Bure vs prime Richter. Didn’t get much better than that. And yeah Leetch was just one of the smoothest skaters, and had such a great head for the game.

Zubov was a beast! One of the most under rated players ever. Glad he got into the hall. He deserved it. Fucking workhorse.
